Personally, I don't really care for it so much. The problems with France are mostly their government's foreign politics.

I did post it in Global Jewish Community and it must be significant for that part of the Global Jewish Community that lives in France.

Surely this is an example of one of those domestic problems being solved, or at least improved.

as a folk or government, they are same... International affairs are more important than domestic politics of France, for them. i mean, they are a nation who puts nose in some other's politics. A nation which doesn't has a mirror.

Didn't say that it wasn't significant to them. It just isn't nearly as significant to the Global Jewish community as the French foreign politics and policies directed against us.
, they are a nation who puts nose in some other's politics. A nation which doesn't has a mirror.
And they have got a very BIG nose, big and ugly!!!

Of course, as I said all along, all the other accusations came as a result of our decision not to support American aggression.

Ha you intelligent boy! Why the hell France puts its nose all world's internal businesses, and DESTROY everything? Can't you see people don't want you , your nation becoming antipathetic !
Americans have self-reliance,unlike americans french people suffering from inferiority complex, that's why they put their nose in everything,in this way they want to show the world America is not the only super power,STRONG FRANCE is there, waiting to solve your problems!! :p
;)
(I said before,I hate when some 'cocksure' and 'bossy' people (like french)involved in other countrie's internal problems and attempt to dictate something!!)

The numbers in this report won't last too long - I give it three months and it'll return to normal.
Here's why - an excert from one interesting article:
[.. Today (make that 7/28/05) it was proudly announced that the citadel of French culture has fallen – just as the Bastille did two centuries ago. The Louvre Museum proudly yet cravenly proclaimed that it has accepted a $20 million donation from Saudi oilyarch* Walid bin Talal to build an entire new wing for Islamic art .
This is the Saudi prince who attempted to literally and metaphorically paper over any anger America felt over Saudi involvement in 9/11 and other attacks with a measly and insulting $10,000,000 check handed to New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani. When the prince attempted to rationalize (and thus justify) these attacks against America by linking them to American policies, Rudy instantly handed him back the check.
Rudy would not accept blood money.
Yet the French, so concerned about the corruption of their culture by American language, music, art, and McDonalds, proudly takes money from a member of this corrupt family in order to further plant an appreciation for Islam into the sacred ground of their culture: The Louvre. ..]
French take money from anti-Semitic donor (http://www.americanthinker.com/comments.php?comments_id=2753)
The French taking money from an apologist for Islamic-terror?
Why am I not surprised?
That's like the French having ILLEGAL CONTRACTS with a genocidal Saddam Hussein for well over 27 years during UNITED NATIONS IMPOSED SANCTIONS and then being against the Iraqi war for the benefit of Iraqis who were being mass executed by Saddam anyways.
The French "elite" , if there is actually such a thing, do not in any way surprise anyone when they bend over or bend down and submit.
The Louvre is going to become a beautiful Islamic museum just as lower France has become a beautiful dwelling ground for Islamists.

Maybe because you Americans do the same no ? :p
You are the biggest Allies of Saudi Arabia , and as far as i know they are far from being Jew lovers. But maybe you're going to tell us the contrary ?
And you who seem to care about the population of those countries , it doesn't disturb you how Saoudi are treated and especially women ?
NNOOOOOOO !
Why ? Because as long as you are doing business , it's fine with you , just like the others, France included it's true.
Give us a brake, as if the USA had never done business with Saddam !
he has always been the dictator he is , it's not new, but it used to be a time it was fine with you and with rest of the world !
Open your eyes , the USA are no less seeking their profit first than France.
And if you the USA , are really willing to save people from dictature , there is one country with a dictator openly threatening the world and kill/let die millions of his citizens: North Korea ! And you can't say you don't know what is going on there, it's well known ! And unlike Saddam , Kim jong il really has WMD.
But it's true , North Korea has no oil or any natural resource interesting for you and they are a true military and (probable) nuclear power , not like Saddam and his poor army. So attacking north Korea it's much more risky and for what ? Nada... just the end of the suffering for a people... that's not your problem...there is no money to make , just to lose.
I could go on with Africa too , but i think i made my point.
So look at your country first , then you'll come to give us advice. You are not better than us...

Billionaire Saudi investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal donated more than $20 million to fund the creation of an Islamic art gallery at the Louvre museum in Paris. Not to a US museum, not to a UK museum - but to France.
The money will be used to create a permanent home for the museum's 10,000 Islamic art pieces and help foster "greater understanding about the contribution of Islamic civilisation".
This was the same nutcase that in October 2001, presented $10-million to a fund for 9/11 victims, but New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani refused the money after Alwaleed whine that the United States shoudl also re-examine its pro-Israel policies.
This same Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, donated $27-million to the a government-organized fundraiser for Palestinian mass-homicide bombers.
That was on the April 11, 2002, during a telethon broadcast live by local and Saudi-owned satellite channels. The telethon came at the height (if you recall) of the suicide bombings in Israel to help relatives of Palestinian "martyrs" -- the same term that has been used by Arafat to include the suicide bombers.
The Saudi government insisted the term referred not to suicide bombers but to "Palestinians who are victimized by Israeli terror and violence."
http://www.insightmag.com/main.cfm?include=detail&storyid=252751
It is only appropriate (and not at all surprising) that France and The Louvre museum gleefully accept every penny from Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal.
As for France and Saddam - this says it all
http://www.command-post.org/archives/002978.html
As for your diatribe about North Korea, and the talks between our six allies and NK, the good news is that France isn't one of them and working hard to undermine the alliance. China, with their Olympics coming up and being part of the fastest and largest economic region on the planet is actually (and anxiously) leading the way on NK. Sorry to disappoint.
But please go on with Africa. With several former French colonies actually starving to death - I'd like to hear the latest from a Frenchman.
As I said - Watch the number of anti-semitism incident n France return to normal in no time as it coincides with Prince Alwaleed bin Talal donation to France.

By the way, the world record for the longest nose is held by a man in some village in Turkey.
In fact Elin is right, you changed the topic,Serdar and Elin didn't talk about nose sizes (I know you know;) ) or human rights. Like it or not I agree with them, France must keep it's nose out of World.
I am Turkish Cypriot,France appeared to raise the bar on tuesday for Turkey to start European Union membership talks in October by saying Ankara must recognise Cyprus first.Turkish Cypriots voted 'yes' to the UN Plan in referendum but Greek Cypriots rejected UN Plan. France has no right to threatens to block Turkey accession talks by using my country's name after all. France is using Arabs against America,France is using Armenians and Kurds against Turkey, and now France is using my country's name to block Turkey accession talks.France must keep it's nose out of my country,Cyprus. Neither greek nor turkish, cypriots are not the puppets of France.

Whenever you tell truths Frenchman close his mouth, where is Mr takeo?
France just likes parading around the fact that it is still a very powerful country by sometimes acting like a jurk.
The current outbreak of anti-semetism in France shows that subtle incitement against jews through demonization of Israel in the media (A crime France is definately NOT the only nation guilty of doing) can not be done if they want to be a home of tolerance.
I believe that Chirac is serious about fighting incitement in the media and stopping anti-semetism, and the drop which coincides with the viel ban, and the fact that France was added to the bomb at will list shows that he is serious.
Not to mention an increase in anti-Hamas politicians, and banning of Hamas's shows in France.
I'm not a francophile (I agree with Dr Johnson if you are bored with London you are bored with Life), but I do think credit when it is due.

hard to believe to Chirac, today he says something, tomorrow something else. hi politics on eu, cyprus, anti-semitism and other problems.
I think this issue actually gets to him though. He did meet with Ariel Sharon for example, which is virtually asking to lose an election in France, and he did have Hezbollah News (I don't know what it is called) banned.
I am not a fan of the french, I say Rule Britainia Britainia rules the waves Britons never never ever shall be slaves :D

In a typical act of treachery France contradicted the decisions reached at the EU December 17 summit - it now says that that Turkey must recognize the Greek Cypriot Administration for the accession talks to begin.
Turkey fulfilled all its obligations. France created news ones.
Any reasonable person expects the EU to abide by the decision taken on December 17 which has the signatures of all EU under the context of the principle of pacta sund servanda [fulfilling the requirements of promises] and to begin the accession negotiations without further conditions - once again France (and de Villepin) dug themselves another hole from which they can't get out of.
Karamanlis unhappy with French turnaround on Cyprus, reports say
Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis is upset with recent statements by French leaders raising recognition of Greek Cyprus by Ankara as a new condition for the start of accession talks with Turkey on Oct. 3, according to Greek news reports.
Karamanlis believes the French politicians are raising the Cyprus issue in an effort to appease opposition of their public to Turkey's membership, said Greek newspapers over the weekend, citing his close circles.
Karamanlis has complained over the French position because it presented a sharp contrast with what France had done during the EU's Dec. 17 summit. “Now, France is trying to prevent opening of accession talks with Turkey, but back in December, it pressured all of us to give a certain date for the talks,” Karamanlis reportedly told his close circles.
The Greek premier is expected to express his discontent with the French position when he meets this week in Athens with Greek Cypriot leader Tassos Papadopoulos.

The EJP reported that:
[.. A controversial television show about a fake-anti-Semitic attack was broadcasted in France on Friday, a year and a half after it caused scandal in the Jewish community. ..]
and now comes a typical example of "French Logic"
[..Violent assaults and verbal aggressions are fortunately not as numerous as in 2004 so we decided it was possible to broadcast the episode,” France 2 told the EJP...]
so if..... "Violent assaults and verbal aggressions" are down - why not do everything we can - to bring those numbers back to normal!
http://www.ejpress.org/article/news/2483
last paragraph in the EJP article:
[.. The station did choose however to schedule the episode in the middle of August, a period in which the French take generally their long annual vacation and when few people can criticize controversial programming. ..]
huh?
With unemployment at 10 percent and travel costs rising, nearly 40 percent of the French no longer afford to take an extended trip away from home (August eh?) 'French bid adieu to vacation' - a great time to air an anti-semitic program (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2002447431_vacations21.html)
