This may be a unique idea on how the Israelis could deal with the Palestinian issue. They should inventory and then divide up all the Palestinian lands into small grids. From then on every time an Israeli dies in a bombing attack they should take back from the Palestinian one grid of land per person that dies, maybe 1/4 for each injury as well. They would claim it as damages. Alernatively they could assess the damage and then take back a equal amount of property from the palestinians, This would be proper retaliation for the bombings. This would mean that every time the bombers succeeded they would also be taking steps against there cause.

The palestinians are demanding land for peace, shouldn't it go both ways? if the plaestinians deliver the oppisite of peace shouldn't they isrealis have the right to land. Its only fair. land for peace one way, land for war acts the other. this soulution makes the pallestinians accountable just as they are trying to make isreal accountable.
They are allready at war weather or not its declared. They have been getting nothing for all the loss of life and property. they should impose there own tax on the pallestinians for terrorist acts. All nations are allowed to impose taxes.

Walter Williams (http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/williams042402.asp) had a similar idea

Were I prime minister of Israel, I'd trade peace for land on these terms: in exchange for each six months of peace, I'd completely turn over, say, five square miles of land. And for just one terrorist attack, I'd send in the Israel Defense Forces to take it all back.

This article (http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/williams042402.asp) is a good one to read and goes with the thread I had asking if might equals right.

Might in the right hands does make right possible. Power does not come soley from brute force violence anymore with today's news being very visual and instant across the world. When for defensive purposes, Israelis army sometimes is forced to search for known terrorists in Palestinian controlled areas, Palestinians use their defensive weapon to stop the IDF from finding their "soldiers" : world opinion. They love to show themselves as the underdog because many people believe that those with power can never be right.

timjordan, you are in good company with Walter Williams, and I think your idea is a good one.

Yes, if Israel is expected to trade land for "peace," then surely it works the other way as well.

Well we could start with giving them the Dead Sea.
