View Full Version : Its time for Israel to annex the West Bank

With construction beginning on the "security" fence around the West Bank, much like the fence around Gaza, I think its time for Israel to annex Gaza and the West Bank, like they should have done in 1967. In most places this fence will be waist high, and electrified(?) Does anyone really think a waist-high fence, electrified or not, is going to stop someone who wants to get into Israel, whether it be to sell some oranges or blow himself and a few others up?

In 1967 the Soviet Union sponsored Resolution 262(?) which called for Israel to stop where it was (the Suez, the Golan Heights, and the current Israeli-Jordanian border.) In 1973 the Soviet Union sponsored a resolution to stop the fighting just as the IDF had finished encircling the Egyptian Third Army and was prepared to wipe it out. The Soviet Union no longer exists. Israel should annex the West Bank and Gaza, and replace the local government with the IDF. No corrupt Palestinian police to give terrorists a free ride. After several months, no organized Palestinian security force that sides with terrorists when the IDF goes into a West Bank town. Petition the United States for more aid to take care of the health and welfare of Palestinians. Congress will whole-heartedly give it to them. And then use that money for the welfare of the Palestinians, not for more tanks. After a year or two, the leadership and mid-level members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the PLFP, and Hezbollah would be dead or in jail, where the wardens are Israelis, not Palestinians who let them out in a month or two. What's left? Teenagers throwing stones and using cheap handguns. Conduct weekly raids of every place where Palestinians live until they learn that hiding bombs and guns is not a good idea. The IDF has the manpower, materiel, logistics, and will to carry it out. Within a few years, Arafat would be dead (natural causes, I assure you ^^) and within a generation Palestinians and Israelis can live side by side. You don't hear of Arabs in Israel strapping on bombs and heading to the mall. They've been Israeli citizens ever since they were born. Do the same in the West Bank.

As for "blindly supporting Israel," most of the pictures that pro-Palestinians hold up are deliberate efforts to mislead people. The boy who wet his pants, surrounded by IDF soldiers. That caused international outrage. What the AP didn't show was that same boy throwing rocks minutes earlier. The man with the bloodied face, an IDF soldier behind him screaming something. What the AP didn't mention was that the man was a Jewish student and the soldier was protecting him from a rock-throwing mob. The father and son caught in the middle of a firefight between the IDF and the Palestinian police. Israeli and Arab investigations said it was a 60-40 chance they'd been hit by Palestinian fire.

If they annex the West Bank, what do they do with all the Palestinians? Do they become citizens of Israel? This would present a problem if Israel wishes to be a Jewish state.

Man, Mediocrates, you think Israel can't do anything wrong, that it's right for them to kick out all the Palestinians. What's next? genocide? Maybe Israel should change its state religion from Judaism to megalomania.

Interestingly enough if you have followed the stories on the demographics of the Arab population in the West Bank, the numbers of Arabs were overcounted. The birthrate of the Arabs was also overestimated. So as it turns out, if the West Bank is annexed to Israel and its population is granted full democratic rights, there is still a democracy with a Jewish majority and will continue to be one for the forseeable future. So it is really a doable proposition.

There have been quite a few articles on this in the Jerusalem Post online in the last few months but I don't think there has been much public discussion about it amongst Israeli politicians. But Womble or our other Israeli posters would probably be better informed on this.

A letter from Chomsky and others on the recent events in the Middle East (July 19, 2006):

The latest chapter of the conflict between Israel and Palestine began when Israeli forces abducted two civilians, a doctor and his brother, from Gaza. An incident scarcely reported anywhere, except in the Turkish press. The following day the Palestinians took an Israeli soldier prisoner - and proposed a negotiated exchange against prisoners taken by the Israelis - there are approximately 10,000 in Israeli jails.

That this "kidnapping" was considered an outrage, whereas the illegal military occupation of the West Bank and the systematic appropriation of its natural resources - most particularly that of water - by the Israeli Defence (!) Forces is considered a regrettable but realistic fact of life, is typical of the double standards repeatedly employed by the West in face of what has befallen the Palestinians, on the land alloted to them by international agreements, during the last seventy years.

Today outrage follows outrage; makeshift missiles cross sophisticated ones. The latter usually find their target situated where the disinherited and crowded poor live, waiting for what was once called Justice. Both categories of missile rip bodies apart horribly - who but field commanders can forget this for a moment?

Each provocation and counter-provocation is contested and preached over. But the subsequent arguments, accusations and vows, all serve as a distraction in order to divert world attention from a long-term military, economic and geographic practice whose political aim is nothing less than the liquidation of the Palestinian nation.

This has to be said loud and clear for the practice, only half declared and often covert, is advancing fast these days, and, in our opinion, it must be unceasingly and eternally recognised for what it is and resisted.

Wow, now we find out Israel attacked UN forces FOR HOURS!

From the BBC:

"I spoke to Mr Olmert and he definitely believes it was a mistake and has expressed his deep sorrow, " Mr Annan told a press conference in Rome. "But the shelling started in the morning and went on until after 7pm. You cannot imagine the anguish of the unarmed men and women peacekeepers who were there."

The four monitors came from Austria, Canada, China and Finland. Tonight, European Union and Chinese officials condemned the attack as "unacceptable" and the Irish government filed an official complaint to Israel after its senior UN peacekeeper made half a dozen warning calls over the bombings.

Jane Lute, the assistant secretary general for peacekeeping, told the UN security council that the base came under close Israeli fire 21 times - including 12 hits within 100 metres and four direct hits - from 1.20pm until contact was lost with the four peacekeepers inside at 7.17pm.

Ms Lute said the peacekeeping force had protested to the Israeli army after each firing incident. The UN's deputy secretary general, Mark Malloch Brown, and Ms Lute herself also made several calls to Israel's mission to the UN "reiterating these protests and calling for an abatement of the shelling", she said.

After contact with the base was lost, Unifil then won safe passage for two armoured personnel carriers to evacuate the position, she said. They arrived at 9.30pm "and found the shelter collapsed and major damage to the rest of the position". Despite negotiating safe passage, the APCs also came under Israeli attack, Ms Lute said.

The UN has already stated publically on CNN this morning that their own facilities and those of Hezbollah were probably one and the same or so near to one another as to be indistiguishable.

Why in heaven's name would they do that? I heard that the UN facility was clearly identified and was in constant contact with the IDF. Why is there no clear story? Is there an inference that the UN is in cahoots with Hezbollah?

I believe that was inferred for the last 6 years when the UN was supposed to be preventing the H*B*llah from shelling ISrael thanks to Resolution 1559. No UN, No Cry.

1. The border steps of Israel, the barriers and the wire fences of the whole territory of Israel and of the new conquests they should have symbols like broken terrorists' human bodies, terrorists' dissected heads or terrorists' dissected crucified bodies, looking toward it was. These make of magnificent shield.
2. The weapons confiscated as the assault rifles and other weapons should be distributed among the best soldiers of ours and among the generals that should use them and to have them like preferential weapons of great precision and power.
3. The law of the silence, is not to speak neither to scream too much when one makes the war, the silence it is the most potent scream and the one that more damage ago to the enemy. Neither it is necessary to be too noisy. The zambombazos of the tanks is a warning informer that should only be used to destroy human bodies.
4. Some woman should always take in the war and follarla until exploding it making you/he/she handcuffs her.
5. The law of Yahveh, all the soldiers must be praying when they make the war and they should take the symbols from their faith to the overdraft.
6. To take a city is not to enter in her, like it is usually affirmed. To take it is to besiege her and to block it. Once fact this the city is of property. The fence includes, the destruction of the antennas of TV, and the absolute isolation of the city: telephones, satélites(bloqueados with waves and interferences).
7. The law of the cannibalism and the possession: sometimes from killing the heart it hurts and an enters not well bad call of war: nightmares, depresión…nerviosismo…estos symptoms only remits when it is violated an enemy woman, or the enemy's blood is sucked. Because the woman is the symbol of the earth and the blood is the symbol of the soul. When making that, you take possession of the enemy's earth and of their souls and your hearts find a true justification of the battle. The symptoms are increased if the earth is returned or the women are returned that are the same thing. So if you want to be healthy, not to return those conquests, you don't harm to you same. Those symptoms are the sensation of having fought for he/she swims her.
8. The law of the funnel: to Make the war is to dominate and to make that one makes our will, above killing him.
9. The law of the pain: The important thing is the pain, not the death. To win it is necessary to make I damage for that reason I tell you that you destroy the tourism of Lebanon… it is conquered when one harms, more than when it is killed.
For the time being it is suficiente…ya I will tell you more things.

Israel Tzabaot King of the Jews.
