1. I don't believe you were "born a Muslim" , it's your pathetic attempt at gaining credibility to voice your bigotry and hatred.

2. You have no point's worth addressing. One does not waste time on people who do not know the basics.

No, not all Muslims are bad, but I can definitely see where rhodescholar is coming from.

In the western world, we non-Muslims who do not agree with our politicians, demonstrate, we ask for President Bush to resign for example.

But what do the good Muslims (both in Muslim countries and in our world where they are free) do? Do they speak against terrorism? Hardly. I have yet to see that. Do they speak against people like Bin Ladin? Again, I have yet to see that.

On the contrary, I've met Muslims (good Muslims) who feel sorry for this "poor old man".

If those good Muslims don't speak up, then they can only blame themselves. We have no problem saying "I was against the Iraq war".

But I have yet to hear a Muslim say "I'm against terrorism..." without the "but" coming, as in for example:

"I'm against terrorism...BUT you have to understand that Palestinians are opressed people, and opressed people become militant and of course then they vote militant (Hamas)."

Bullsh1t, Martin Luther King and his people were opressed, yet they didn't go all terrorist on white people in America.

If good Muslims don't speak up againts terrorism, it is no strange that many consider all Muslims to be terrorists.

Defari- there ARE plenty of good Muslims who speak out against terrorism- but it is a lot more life-threatening for them than it is for us. Many others are confused to a mind boggling degree.

I don't remember if I told this story already, but I have an acquantance who is a Saudi from Jeddah. She knows I am Israeli and has no problem with it whatsoever, and she was shocked to find out that Saudi Arabia has laws banning any Jew from entering. She simply wasn't aware of it. The first time we talked, she asked me "What do you think of "Mein Kampf"? Because I think the guy who wrote it was pretty smart." It took me time to figure out that she was simply saying it to sound more "intellectual", because over there "Mein Kampf" is "in", it is an educated man's reading. In truth, the book bored her to death and she never actually finished reading. She has no problem condemining terrorists, including Palestinian ones, in a private conversation or in an internet discussion- but doing so in public means confronting one of the most repressive governing regimes on the planet, it takes a lot more guts than an ordinary person has.
