I respect Stephen Hawking for his scientific prowess. But I feel sorry for him for his lack of insight and fortitude and for his lack of moral compass.

After so many attempts by Israel to solve this conflict and the intractable stance that the Palestinian Arabs adopted in rejecting two comprehensive peace offers in the last decade, it is beyond the pale for someone like Hawking to blame Israel for the occupation. I guess, even people like him can be blinded by incessant propaganda perpetrated stubbornly by Goebbels like "progressives".
