Accoriding to most predictions, the world Arab population would quadriple itself by 2050. Already today the ecconomices, education, infrastructure and water supply in the Arab world can't support its population. Even in Egypt, with it's mighty Nile river, they ALREADY don't have enough drinking water.
The whole region is about to blow the world up, in a huge population explosion. Each of the past population explosions in history caused a majore world crisis, a series of wars such were the crusades and the early European colonialism.

i'm not surprised by these figures. improved prosperity and education levels will bring it even more inline with the rest of the population. i think that with good planning and resource management, israel has a max capacity of about 14m; minus a couple of million immigrants, that means the population needs to level out at about 12m.
Israel population capacity does not exist. People do not consider such facts. Family planning is practicly against any majore religion, most noteably Islam, which allows polygamism among other staff.
The whole M-E, Israel included is facing a population explosion. Famine, striffe and war. We can actually count the time backwards.
The most powerful form of birth control is wealth. As a people grow wealthier they start having fewer children. Maybe it's due to selfishness of the parents or a desire to give fewer children a better life. Either way, if you want to reduce the population explosion anywhere, and I do mean anywhere, give people the opportunity to raise their standard of living.
It's probably bimodal. Here in the US wealthier families actually have more children.

You missed the religious factor.
Its also religion mixed with ignorance and irresponsibility. I have some in-laws that live below the poverty level and pump out a baby almost every year under the assumption that g-d wants them to have children and he'll take care of everything. Simultaneously, they have no long term investments, can't balance a checkbook, don't have a set budget, and give part of their tiny salaries to their religious institution. But guess who'll be taking their kids on MY family vacation. That's right, 'Ole uncle Minus will.

Let's hope Israeli births will reach 2% soon, and Arab ones fall to less tha 2%. It would be a miracle to happen in 5 years but it would be good news. Anyway, what about good old-fashioned expulsions? Kidding... But sicne Jews expelled from the Arab world still live in Israel, why can't disloyal Arabs in Israel be sent to other Arab states, not necessarily to Palestine (as it will be too small to acomodate them).
How to keep a Jewish majority in Israel
The way to ensure a large Jewish majority in Israel (within the green line border) is (theoretically) simple and humane. It is a well known sociological phenomenon that rich families tend to have relatively small families and poor families tend to have many children. The Israeli Arabs comprise a very high percentage of the poor in Israel. Israel must make heavy development and educational investment in the Arab population, and bring the proportion of Arabs belonging to the middle class to be equal to the proportion of Jews among this group and the 80-20 population rate between Jews and Arabs will remain indefinitely
