Several explosions heard along northern border, western Galilee residents enter reinforced rooms. One person moderately injured. Northern Command fears Hizbullah will attempt to divert attention from Gaza to Lebanon; Jerusalem conveys harsh messages to Beirut

Simple: No deterrence. Israel ran away from Lebanon and ran away from Gaza.

I now see initial reports of 2 kidnapped Israelis.

Unless Israel takes the opportunity to launch an all-out war against the various terrorists that live on its borders, Israelis will just be sitting ducks waiting to have their children stolen by terrorists and their cities devastated by Islamist rockets.

    Exclamation Stupid, Stupid Terrorists!!!

When will these selfish terrorists learn that violence and terrorist attacks cannot and will not achieve anything for their cause. The killing of 2 soldiers and the kidnapping of Shalit have ended in what - the killing of 60+ terrorists and a number of civilians in Gaza. What does Hezbollah think that this kidnapping will achieve?

Israel's response will not be as restrained - YES RESTRAINED - as it's response in Gaza.

Watch the deathtoll (of Hezbollah terrorists) rise...

Exclamation Not WWIII but it could get close...

If any Lebanese General is stupid enough to order their soldiers to attack any Israeli Navy, Army or Airforce personnel the Israeli's will not hesitate to destroy half of Lebanon's armed forces.

And if that happens - and Syria and Iran have the balls to join in (which I doubt they do) - it will finally be the catalyst for the end of Syria and Iran, or atleast the current regimes. The U.S. won't hesitate to contribute soldiers (or at the very least spec. ops and air power)... and if it does escolate to an all out confrontation with any of these three countries a number of other nations will join in for the ride (on the side of the allies that is - Israel and the U.S.).

Lebanon will now regret it's complacency, complicity etc.

The so called promise by Hezbollah to the Lebanese people that they would get the Lebanese prisoners out of Israels jails, it's also a show of solidarity with Hamas/Fatah. I am surprised this didn't occur last week sometime.
