While there is credence in the thought that the peoples who currently inhabit the former Yugoslav region are part-descendants of the southern migration of 'Slavs' from beyond the Carpathians, it is entirely oblivious to assume that these migratory peoples did not interbreed with the natives indiginous to that region at the time of settlement, who were in fact, as I have already mentioned, Illyrian, and rather evolved as a civilization.
