Isn't it enough? I can tell so many things about Kurds now,i can start with honour killings, kurdish men, PKK terrorism etc.In SE of Turkey Kurdish men are marrying with 3-4 women,it's illegal in Turkish constitution but they marry. Even constitution can not stop them. We have suffered from PKK terrorism, dont you think we have many things to say about Kurds now?

So is it nice to make a list about Kurds?

Will we learn democracy, liberalism etc from the Kurds? Dont make me laugh, I can tell so many things,so what they related to israelforum?

Inferiority complex is a bad thing, you better try to be yourself.

What does this have to do with Turks or Kurds Elin? Turkey is a country where both Kurds and Turks live. Honourary killings is an Islamic phenomenon. It has existed in Hadith and Sunnah for as long as Islam has existed. Kurds do it and so do Turks (I have a Turkish girlfriend from Izmir, her parents threatened her to death because she dated a latino guy). Very sad. Hopefully the Turkish people won't vote for Islamists next election.

Kurdish men? Yes, there are Kurdish men too. Good point there Elin.

You will hopefully learn about liberal democracy from John Locke and John Stuart Mill. What does this have to do with Kurds?

On a sidenote, Iraqi Kurdistan, the only free part of Kurdistan, is ran by a secular, modern government that has made it into a blooming economy in just a few years. I guess we would all benefit from Kurds having the right to rule themselves. Perhaps then Islamists wouldn't run another country in the Middle East.

There is a large Kurdish population in Izmir and Istanbul. Today Istanbul become the biggest Kurdish city, did you know? 3 Million Kurds living in Istanbul.

About Izmir,Izmir is the most modern city of Turkey with full of open minded population. Izmir is not different from Monaco,Majorca etc.And its people also.

On the other hand,i hope indenpendent Kurdistan will be founded in North Iraq and i hope this country will invite all Kurdish people.

And when it comes to AKP,as i said the problem is between Seculars and Islamists, islamists are united, they only vote for 1 party, but Seculars have to choice one from many.

I know Izmir is very modern. That was my point. The disease of Islamic morality is unfortunately to be found everywhere. No doubt, there are more primitive people that do these things in poor Kurdish villages than in cities like Izmir, but this problem exists everywhere, and I think it has to do with Islam's built-in oppression of women.

Why should the Kurds in for example Diyarbakir and Dersim, that have lived there for thousands of years, move to Iraqi Kurdistan? Why don't you think that we should be allowed our independence in the cities, villages, mountains and towns that we've lived in for thousands of years? I mean, no Turks even live in or go to Diyarbakir, so what's the problem? How would it harm you if we got our freedom? Seriously, you seem like an intelligent and understanding person, this is really a mystery to me. It is exactly the same as the situation between Arabs and Jews. The problem has always been and will always be that Israel exists, that in a vast Muslim world, the Jews have an independent state. Can't you see that this is the same?

I asked because all my relatives can speak Kurdish.I just wonder are there any differences between dialects,my aunt said me she cant understand other kurdish dialects.

Okay. Too bad you have negative feelings towards us.

Yes, there are different dialects, but if you know the language well you have no problems understanding them. I can speak with Kurds from almost everywhere. Lots of Kurds from Turkey are no good at Kurdish though, since they haven't been allowed to study or speak their language.

They are not good at Kurdish? Almost 60% of Turdish women can not speak Kurdish in SE of Turkey. They of course speak Kurdish.

My half part is from SE of Turkey,so i know this land and its people much more than you.Diyarbakir,Mardin,Hakkari...etc.

I don't know. Why does Noam Chomsky hate Jews? I don't hate people based on ethnicity, that's just racist and ignorant.

No, most Kurds in Turkey are really bad at Kurdish. I've been in Diyarbakir and spoken to people. Lots of people there speak Turkish. The ones that do speak Kurdish mix it with Turkish. Not even 10 % of the can there fully understand for example Mem û Zin by Xanî. And no Elin, you don't know Kurdish culture and Kurdish language better than my, and rest assured nor do 99 % of Kurds, anywhere. That much I can promise you.

Isn't there a Kurdish or Turkish, or Kurdish-Turkish board where you can tackle your issues instead of in "Global Jewish Community" thread?
