IDF Top Brass Puts A Positive Spin on a Negative Outcome (2 January )

IDF officers refusing to obey orders and other officers objecting to their orders on "moral grounds"? Small wonder the IDF leaves a legacy of disaster every time it goes into Lebanon. Has discipline completely broken down in the IDF? It's time to clean these rotten apples out of the barrel. A professional army is becoming a must rather than a maybe:

"There were cases in which officers did not carry out their assignments, and cases in which officers objected to their orders on moral grounds,” he said, noting that this “ran counter to the army’s basic values.”

    Gotta love blame-shifting.
Leadership fails to establish a disciplined military culture then blames the creatures they let run wild. I'd like to see them pick a head honcho with an Army background and plenty of combat time. Air Force types aren't culturally suited to command ground combat.
