Sympathy for the Palestinian victims of Islamic terrorism

First, I am deeply saddened by the loss of innocent life in the Mideast, both Arab and Israeli. Whenever children and other innocents are killed, it is a tragedy. I wish for the injured to recover speedily and for the families who have lost their loved ones to find comfort as quickly as possible.

I also keep in mind the thousands of Israelis murdered in cold blood and those injured and maimed for life who now must struggle through their medical rehabilitation and learning how to live life without their eyesight, or limbs. Their Israeli families are burdened by providing medical care and emotional support for the victims of Arab terrorism.

Apart from my sympathy for the victims of Palestinian massacres and also for the casualties of Israel's self-defense actions, I blame Arab and Islamic society for this needless suffering. It is a culture which glorifies terrorism as a tool of the Islamic Jihad. It is a society which pays handsomely for the slaughter of innocent Jews, and which holds mass murder in high regard. Arab society admires those who make bombs, but does not encourage the same people to make a living.

In this environment of hatred and despair meticulously planned and implemented by brutal and corrupt Arab dictators and religious fanatics who consolidate their power by mind control of their ignorant brethren, there is a terrible price to pay. It is a price paid not only by Arab and Islamic society itself, but unfortunately by the victims of their terrorism, like in Israel and the U.S. on 9/11.

Clearly, civilized countries are required to defend their own citizens against Arab and Islamic terrorism, and so the cycle of violence rolls on, if it can be viewed as a cycle at all. Self-defense action like that taken by Israel against the leader of the Hamas monstrosity is an example of what it takes to rid the world of the Islamic terrorist blight.

It is unfortunate that those terrorists like Shehada insist on causing the death of their own families by operating in residential settings, but it is their own conscious effort to inflict death and destruction on all who are unfortunate enough to cross their path.

Until such time as Arab and Islamic society decides to free itself from the misery caused by their dictators and their Mullahs, unfortunately, more innocent people on both sides of the conflict will be killed. Maybe, just maybe, the Palestinians will finally decide to turn over a new leaf by rejecting terrorism, especially seeing that it has brought them no political gains and only harm.

It?s highly unlikely that the same building would be occupied by individuals that weren?t supporters of Salah Shehada. That would in my opinion make them supporters of a Radical Islamic sociopath (Salah Shehada) I don?t think this was a case of individuals (persons in the building) being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

This attack wasn?t without precedent because it?s a well-known fact that the IDF targets known terrorists. It is sad that parents would expose their children to dangers like occupying a building with a known high profile member of Hamas.

Whenever there are senseless brutal murders of Jews the various (within Israel, WB GS and elsewhere) terrorist organizations proudly take credit for the dastardly deeds.

In the case of suicide bombers, shootings, etc perpetrated against Jews by Radical Islamic psychopaths the time and place is completely unknown to the victims and could be classified as random.

This isn?t the case of the attacks by the IDF against the Palestinians they are targeted attacks.

One could ague that it makes no difference to the victims but I would not accept that argument (I concede there may be some exceptions). The reason that I would not do so is because in most cases you would have to be naïve not to know that the individual you are living with/traveling with is a known terrorist.

The Radical religious zealots are revered within the Palestinian society being showered with admiration and money. In other words they are high profile figures and seem to be held in high esteem. I believe that it would be fair to say that they are classified as Freedom Fighters within their society and when they die there?s a place in paradise for them according to their religious leaders.

In this particular case involving Salah Shehada it is the guardians or parents fault if innocent babies and/or children died in the attack by the IDF and the children?s keepers are 100% to blame for the deaths or injuries.

As far as the adults are concerned I couldn?t care less.

Hi...well Im new to this forum and I hope to have some interesting conversations in here...i just want to say from the start...i have a very strong opinion and i sometimes speak with harsh words...i dont mean them to harm people...thats how i express my self to whats going on against my country (Israel)...

Well...this morning i woke up to this news that the Bin laden of Hamas was killed...and i was extremely happy...when i heard of the children...i felt bad but that went away quickly...the way the parents and the arab world raise these children make me look at them as not children...just people that hate all non muslims...Dont get me wrong...any child death is not good at all...but please...when you are dealing with terrorists...there are always civilians hurt...unlike terror groups that attack civilians on purpose...and because of being jewish in israel...now the thing that really got me mad is all these Pro-Terrorist Leaders around the world and pro-terrorist Media on American TV are all bitching about "how could israel do that" and "war Crimes" and other nonsense....

WHERE WAS THIS OUTCRY AGAINST THE ARABS WHEN 21 TEENAGERS WERE MURDERED AT A CLUB FOR NOTHING...FOR NOT BEING IN A TERROR GROUP...FOR HAVING FUN...FOR BEING JEWS!!!!!!!

Where were all the international outcries for all the 70+ suicide bombings since the year 2000...why didnt that Black Terror Supporter Kofi Anan send a inspection team to the passover attack...and all the other Suicide attacks against innocent civilians...

All those Acts of Garbage from these anti-Semites make me proud to be jewish and an Israeli...it just makes me understand why everyone hates us...Because we are the best...We are a peaceful nation...because we are Jews...Etc...

Well thats it for now...please continue this thread

    Take care

Lamp, why do all of you apostrophes question marks? Just asking cause it is hard to keep telling myself "that is not a question mark, it's an apostrophe."

    This is a bitter victory.

The Israeli government and the IDF, both issued seperate statements expressing sorrow for the lass of innocent lives. I would like to see an apology as well.

Like I said in the other post, the goal was justified. but the execution was poor, to say the least.

I, as an Israeli, support the policy of targetting the heads of the terror groups as an effective means of destroying the capabilities of the Palestinians to launch terror attacks.

However, Israel cannot hide behind the excuse that the terrorists use civillians as a live shield. This is because at least in this case, the civillian casualties was avoidable, or at least could be kept to a minimum if more care was taken in planning the attack.

Blaming the Palestinians for tactical failure of IDF is hiding your head in the sand.

Maybe if Palestinians didn't teach their children to blow up Israelis the IDF would not have the impossible chore of carrying out immaculate assassinations.

No one is blaming the Palestinians for a tactical failure of the IDF. In fact, I am not even sure if I agree that this was a failure at all tactically speaking. Sure there are a variety of weapons that can be used, but ultimately, the decision is made based on intelligence.

Using a 1 ton bomb on a single building is to ensure that the building will be completely demolished, rather than using other missiles or explosives which all have different advantages and disadvantages. Some might exit the building at high speed, some might not demolish enough of the building to make sure that all targets have been neutralized, and some might cause other casualties no matter where they explode, depending on who happens to be sleep-walking in the house at that particular moment.

You may realize that they have not yet invented a missile so smart that you tell it "go get Shehada no matter where he might be in the building without disturbing anyone else, and while you're in there, go into the fridge and pour some milk for the cat."

So, anyway, depending on the intelligence, is how the weapon is chosen and we don't know what the intelligence was exactly.

As for blame, I think that it's undeniable that if the Palestinian and al Qaeda terrorists operating in Gaza would stop the massacres of Jews, OR if they would not mix with civilians, OR if they would stop shooting missiles into Israeli suburbs every day, then the IDF would not have to risk its own soldiers in the war against Islamic terrorism, and there would be no need for casualties on either side.

    Karmic Payback.

They are legitimate targets in the war against terrorism, to paraphrase Hamas, PLO and the whole host of terrorist organizations. I find those are words to live and die by.

All this hand wringing over 'appropriateness' but beating yourself up is a loser's game. Make yourself a bet that the next 24 Jews who are murdered will garner about 1/10th the public outcry - almost no one will weep for THEM. Remember that if you find yourself losing sleep over collateral damage.

Like I've said before, if they are willing to die and kill for their Palistinian cause then they should walk the walk and stop whining about it.

There’s several computers networked around here and they have different operating systems. The ones with Win XP substitute the quotation/apostrophe marks with question marks when I cut and paste. Windows 2000 and Windows 98 work well and give me no problems. Whenever someone is away from his or her office I sometimes plop myself down in front of the computer to see what is happening in the world. If I use a computer that doesn’t have XP to post I’m kosher apart from the ****ty grandma and shelling.

I cannot believe what I'm reading...

Israel is as much to blame for the current state of affairs with regards to world terrorism as are the Palestinian militants as is the United States for that matter.

When are the powers that be going to stop hiding behind ideology and rhetoric and get down to the REAL task at hand: bringing peace and stability to the Middle East.

Israel is just as much to blame for the hatred on the Palestinian side as are the Palestinians to blame for Israeli hatred. Both sides have committed horrible atrocities. Where does it stop?

What is so important in the OCCUPIED TERRITORIES that the Israelis are not big enough that they will show good will and leave?

I see a lot of blame being heaped on Hamas for the actions that the Israeli government has taken. In the same vein shouldn't we blame Israel for the actions that Hamas has taken? After all, if the Israeli Defense Forces hadn't moved back in to the OCCUPIED TERRITORIES would we even be having this discussion?

What came first, the chicken or the egg?

What's so important in the disputed territories is the terrorist infrastructure Arafat & Co. were supposed to dismantle, but didn't - which led to the massacres of Israelis - which led to retaliation - which led to deaths of Palestinian civilians.

    First its disputed land....Never occupied...

When a Country is being attacked for being Jews then its a fight for survival...And when everyone around them attacks innocent civilians for political gains...its terrorism...

Have Israel ever send Suicide bombs to Jerusalem to kill old arab woman and men and children....NO...has Israel every grenaded bombs and shot the people running away....NO...the only thing israel has done...is KILL TERRORIST LEADERS AND TERRORISTS....and when TERRORISTS hide behind Kids and woman that support them...there will be casualties...

Israel hates them for their terror and murders...The arabs hate the jews for being jews...its been in the history for over 2000 years...get it straight in your head....

One thing i have learned these past few years is that if your not jewish and a Gentile that doesnt know about israel and the jews...and you support the arabs....than the conclusion is you dont know on what the israelis and jews have to deal with.

PS...for the jews...its not "ideology and rhetoric"....its survival

And on and on it goes...where does it stop? Who is human enough to stop it before any more innocent civilians are killed?

The trouble is, that if Israel stops - like it did when it withdrew from Lebanon - the Arafats of the world decide that they won, and that they can get anything else their hearts desire by murdering Jews. Do you really, honestly, think that if Israel was to simply leave the West Bank there would be no more suicide murders?
