i dont think food has anything to do with hinduism.

I think the greatest positive aspect of hinduism (& buddhism) is religious freedom. They believe in so many gods that every new god that comes up is welcome.

They give cattle a fair deal. There religious imagery is never wanting for drama nor lacking in imagination.
As a youth I used to weep in butcher's shops.

Pray as you wish, at your own sweet time, in your own language, to your own representation of God.
There are innumerable sects and sub-sects, with no animosity due to belief, practice or rituals between them.
Knowledge, of anything and everything, is cherished.

Not just imagery, my friend. Even sacred texts, epics, poems, stories, ballads etc.
Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita, Puranas, Vedas etc. - just to name a few

    Positive Aspects of Hinduism
    I like curry.
Andak it would be great if you would refrain from insulting Hinduism!

would you like it if i start a thread called

    "Positive aspects of Islam"

and make a post called "i like sand?"

Ps: i know its hard for you to understand that Hinduism has nothing to do with curry..but the same goes for me..i guess...about islam and sand

Arjun, let me make a public apology here. I was never my intention to be offensive to Hindus. Regardless of the bloody past and present of our respective religions, I hold no ill will towards Hindus. I bring up the subjects I do to show that the evil actions of Muslims are not unique in the world and that, in fact, we can make common cause of these social ills rather than simply having someone coerce me to say my religion is evil without regard to other groups that act the same way. I hope that Muslims and Hindus and indeed everyone can join together to:

    - Improve conditions for the world's women
    - Continue to reduce slavery
    - Stop honor killings

and work to end other social ills. Don't hesitate to let me know if you are offended in the future. If like some other posters, my very presence or my choice of religion is what offends you, I can't do much about that.

Why don't you personally start with what happened to those pesky Jews in Morocco.

Why don't you state your demands? What would I have to say in order to make you happy? I have admitted that there was persecution of Jews in Morocco and that many of them left because of it. I condemn it, all of it. I applaud all efforts of restitution for anything that was lost along the way. What else do you want? You want me to deny that anyone ever made aliyah to Israel from Morocco for any other reason than persecution? You want me to deny that there was a concerted effort to resettle people in Israel which included jobs and special tax breaks? You can call all those projects mythical if you want to. Evidence is that they do and did exist and that they were effective in getting people to Israel. That may have played a small part or a large part in the exodus, but the fact is, it did play some part.
