A briefing given last month to a top Pentagon advisory board described Saudi Arabia as an enemy of the United States , and recommended that U.S. officials give it an ultimatum to stop backing terrorism or face seizure of its oil fields and its financial assets invested in the United States...

“THE SAUDIS are active at every level of the terror chain, from planners to financiers, from cadre to foot-soldier, from ideologist to cheerleader,” stated the explosive briefing. It was presented on July 10 to the Defense Policy Board, a group of prominent intellectuals and former senior officials that advises the Pentagon on defense policy.

“Saudi Arabia supports our enemies and attacks our allies,” said the briefing prepared by Laurent Murawiec, a Rand Corporation analyst. A talking point attached to the last of 24 briefing slides went even further,

describing Saudi Arabia as “the kernel of evil, the prime mover, the most dangerous opponent” in the Middle East.

One administration official said opinion about Saudi Arabia is changing rapidly within the U.S. government. “People used to rationalize Saudi behavior,” he said. “You don’t hear that anymore. There’s no doubt that people are recognizing reality and recognizing that Saudi Arabia is a problem.”

There?s no question that the majority of the Saudis (within a certain age group and social/economic standing) support the destruction of Israel and the US. If my memory serves me I was looking at a poll from that country indicating that 95% of the upper class aged 25-41 supports the like of bin Laden and his terrorist network.

I wouldn?t be surprised if the Saudi royalty was slaughtered in the coming years or months and replaced with a Radical Islamic governing force.

A fill up at the pumps costing a few C-notes nay be the aftermath of such a takeover.

Will such a move be a good thing for the world?

Will it stop terrorism in Israel?

Will it stop terrorism against the US.

I don?t believe there is a concrete ?YES or NO? answer and it?s my opinion that unless the US is willing to invade SA after a coup by Islamic Radical Militants and start killing them in wholesale numbers my answer would be ?NO?.

The Saudis ARE a radical Islamic force. They sell us oil instead of opium. If they are toppled it will because they control and own everything not because of their politics. And if they are toppled it will be by an even more theocratic reactionary force, one which would not care if they sold oil to the US or not.

About bloody time. Its amazing the the lone superpower in the world, a country that could hurl a man to the moon, would take so long to figure out what is very obvious to the average Israeli or Indian for that matter.

Where Saudia is the kernel of evil, its inside is that $hithole Pakistan. Pakistan provides the training camps, the foot soldiers and the indoctrination. The money not only comes from the Saudis but also from narco-trafficking. All of these activities are conducted in the name of Islam.

The three countries that formally recognized the Taliban were Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and UAE (am not sure about the last one).

This fact alone speaks volumes for the medieval mind-set of these muslim countries.

I guess the the Federal government should'nt have given the crippled Kingdom all the Military goodies they did, like F-15 Arircraft, F-16 Falcon, M1A2 tanks.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- The Saudi media Wednesday blamed Jews and Israeli sympathizers for a widely reported article in the U.S. press that said Pentagon advisers considered the kingdom to be an enemy of the United States.

The article, published in the Washington Post Tuesday and picked up by other media outlets, cited a briefing given last month to the Pentagon's top advisory body, the Defense Policy Board. In it, Saudi Arabia was described as an enemy of the United States.

The briefing was reported to have recommended that U.S. officials give the kingdom an ultimatum to stop backing Islamist terrorism or face seizure of its oil fields and its financial assets invested in the United States. ...

Once again we see a pathological refusal on the part of the Saudis to take responsibility for their own actions and attitudes and the natural consequences of these. Much easier to blame others.
