The Taj Mahal was built by Muslims. Do you have any idea how many Muslims live in India? ~130 million. That's 18 and a half Israels.

Yeah, if India hadn't split up in 1947 it would be around 30% Muslim.

Are you 'joking'? Though it was the Moslem occupiers who ordered its construction, it was actually built by hindu artisans & slaves. Who were all murdered after its construction. What a way to get your pay! Bloody muslims, eh?

Oh I knew that. I also knew that its merely a little over 10% of the entire Indian population. So tell us, is India a muslim world or a hindu world?

It's whatever world America wishes to make of it. With over 67 million forced laborers, they weren't included on the list of tier 3 human traffikkers. The president gets elected wearing what amounts to a hijab and nobody comments. It's clear we're willing to look the other way on their caste killings, female abortions, etc. Building them up is the only hope we have in Asia of competing with China.

Gosh, if you wrote anti-Muslim jokes in this country, you could get a job with the American Enterprise Institute! They should go where it's profitable to bash Islam.

Yes, I do want to retire there. If the real estate boom doesn't make it prohibitive. There is a huge amount of development going on right now.

because that non-religious indian scarf in no way symbolizes gender oppression, unlike the hijab which is commonly enforced on muslim women.

That's a group of countries that receives economic sanctions due to their poor record regarding human traffikking.

You say that. Has anyone done a study to discover how many women wear the hijab against their will? Has anyone studied Hindu women's rights?

Roughly one fifth as many hits for Honor killing as for Caste killing on Google. Honor Killing has its own Wiki. Caste killing does not. Here's where 34 people were killed in a single incident.

China is the only credible threat to American security and economy.

    Andak

That all depends on the government of those countries. India aint so bad. Its got a good government. Its just that india is so big and there are many remote places that are poorly influenced by its government. Like the case of "Ritual Rape" that i mentioned weeks ago. Though it is banned it still happens in remote regions in india because the government has weak enforcements there.

at least count on that half the population of Saudi Arabia. and considering the wahabbi's strong influence around the world through saudi funded madrassas. and you get american muslimahs like this who thinks...

Do you feel pressure from the Muslim community because you have chosen not to wear the veil?
I feel like a lot of it is self-induced. There are moments when you see some older man, and you can tell he's really religious. You feel shy, there's a tension like he's going to think I'm [not modest.] But I don't really feel like I've been judged for not wearing it.

NOTE: The one in bracket which says 'not modest' was an edit by MSN. Originally it said "a slut".

of course. but that had nothing to do with why their president wore a scarf.

This thread has not made me laugh once. This is flagrant mis-use of the subject line.
As a youth I used to weep in butcher's shops.

WHAT???! THE FIRST JOKE DIDNT MAKE YOU LAUGH??? THAT WAS HILARIOUS!

Anyway i googled a lot and most muslim jokes i found were unfunny to me. Like for a muslim this was a favorite joke:

Mullah Nasruddin (who was born a Muslim) was walking down a street when he bumps into Umar Abdullah, a convert/revert to Islam.

"Salam-Alaikum brother Umar!" Mullah Nasruddin said excitedly.

    "Alaikum-salam, brother!" replied Umar.

"I have this question I have been wanting to ask you for a LONG LONG time, and now, since you are here, may I ask it?"

"Go ahead, brother, you may." replied Umar.

"When you became a Muslim, did you cry?"

    "Indeed I did." replied Umar.

"ME TOO! ME TOO!" exclaimed Mullah Nasruddin excitedly.

I dont get it. Are we that different from muslims that we can hardly be tickled by their humor?
