While recently in the Old City, Jerusalem, our Israeli guide had to drag me away from the Rozen Gallery in the Jewish Quarter. I especially liked one contemporary artist exhibiting, Rosenberg. The site dosn't quite do him justice, the colors just seemed to reach out for me. Interesting because my medium is Chinese brush painting, and I work in subdued colors. Soon as I was home I dug out my oils and started on views of Jerusalem. Now of course I must return for some on scene color studies and to take a zillion more photographs...but nothing beats being there!
