The level of murder and rape, at least in America is almost totally unaffected by the number of Muslim immigrants. Unlike in Europe where Muslim immigrants are more often the bottom rung of society and brought in to do jobs nobody else wants, in America a large number are engineers and doctors. Would it be fair to say that the real issue is not with Islam in general but the radicalized version of Islam that is prone to interpreting "jihad" as making war on Islam's real or percieved enemies?
I prefer "radical" to "fundamentalist" because there is a wide spectrum of practice even among people who could be described as "religious fundamentalists"--most of the latter, I think, are not prone to violence.

So what, Muslims are scared to death of breaking the law. That is "peace" under Islam. There are Muslims at every level is true. There are Muslims at every level trying to impose Islam on non Muslims.
Al Qaeda #2 has a doctors degrees, the Muslims who tried to blow up the airport in Scotland were doctors. Who they are or where they are in life means nothing.
