Biden Threatened to Cut off Aid to Israel
This may give some insight into Joe Biden's approach to Israel. Back
in March 1992 Moshe Zak recounted that the Senator made the mistake
of Confronting Prime Minister Menachem Begin (June 22 1982) during
his Senate foreign relations committee testimony. After Biden
threatened to cut off aid to Israel. Begin just let him have it. Read
this report of their confrontation, that was published by Soccer Dad
almost two years ago (way to think ahead Dave) and another recount of
the issue from Time Magazine 7/5/1982:

But Biden is a politician, and while he may make a show of his
support of Israel now, Daniel Freedman recalls an encounter between
Joe Biden and Prime Minister Menachem Begin, when Biden was somewhat
less vocal in his support of Israel.
When hearing the name Biden, we always think of the famous exchange
between Biden and Prime Minister Begin. As Moshe Zak recounted in a
March 13, 1992, piece in the Jerusalem Post:
In a conversation with Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, after a sharp
confrontation in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the
subject of the settlements, Begin defined himself as "a proud Jew who
does not tremble with fear" when speaking with foreign statesmen.
During that committee hearing, at the height of the Lebanon War, Sen.
John [sic] Biden (Delaware) had attacked Israeli settlements in Judea
and Samaria and threatened that if Israel did not immediately cease
this activity, the US would have to cut economic aid to Israel.
When the senator raised his voice and banged twice on the table with
his fist, Begin commented to him: "This desk is designed for writing,
not for fists. Don't threaten us with slashing aid. Do you think that
because the US lends us money it is entitled to impose on us what we
must do? We are grateful for the assistance we have received, but we
are not to be threatened. I am a proud Jew. Three thousand years of
culture are behind me, and you will not frighten me with threats.
Take note: we do not want a single soldier of yours to die for us."
After the meeting, Sen. Moynihan approached Begin and praised him for
his cutting reply. To which Begin answered with thanks, defining his
stand against threats.
Time Magazine had a similar recap of the incident, this is from the
July 5, 1982 Issue
Senator Joseph Biden, a Delaware Democrat, jabbing his finger at
Begin, warned that U.S. support for Israel was eroding. Begin shouted
back: "Don't threaten us with cutting off aid to give up our
principles!

Sarah Palin: A Closet Zionist?

Jake from Alaska sent me a very interesting video of an Alaskan podcast that promotes hiking and tourism in Alaska. In this podcast (video below) from February 2008, way before Gov. Sarah Palin was touted to be the Republican vice-presidential candidate, the host of the show, Scott Slone interviewed her in her office.
What is interesting in this story is that 2 minutes and 40 seconds in, the camera shows clearly, an Israeli flag near her office window (to the right of the frame). As well, if one looks closely, it seems she is wearing an Israeli flag pin on her left lapel (see 2:55 into video). So, the question is, is Sarah Palin a closet Zionist? Is she a friend of the Jewish people and Israel?
What is important to note here is, that this video was not made by a Jewish organization, nor is she speaking before a Jewish audience or catering to any Jewish vote. We know of many politicians wearing an Israeli flag pin or waving an Israeli flag when attending Israel's Independence Day celebrations or speaking in front of a Jewish audience, but this is not the case here.
I haven't done much research on Gov. Palin (yet) but watching this video leaves one, well, it just leaves one feeling good. If she is a closet Zionist, she should come out and tell us so. Millions of others just like her, may just follow suit.

Actually, Obama's selection of Biden shows that Obama's entire platform of "change," is completely phony. Biden represents decades of same-old, same-old Washington politics. I can understand that Obama needs an experienced babysitter to provide him with adult supervision, but in that case, let's not speak of "change."
Having said that, McCain choice of Palin is almost bizarre. Just like Obama, Palin's not qualified to be president. The difference is that, if Obama is elected, we're GUARANTEED an unqualified, know-nothing class-warfare Socialist as president. If McCain is elected, then we pray for his health and hope for the best. Even taking Palin into account, there's nothing worse than voting for Obama.
Obama has a record of belonging to Reverend Wright's anti-America, racist church, ties to Palestinian terrorism, ties to the racist anti-Semitic Nation of Islam, ties to domestic terrorism, shady dealings with Tony Rezko, and ZERO accomplishment as Senator. If you want 4 more years of the same, vote Obama.

Being in the senate a long time does not mean one can't be progressive. Biden may not be the most proactive change-advocate, but his policies are very similar to Obama's and he is well meaning, so there is absolutely no contradiction with Obama's pick of Biden as VP and Obama's "Change" platform.
It's illogical to say that Obama has as little experience as Palin. A year as mayor(or councilor) of a town of ~6,000 is not equivelant to a year as senator for a state of 12 million. Obama has 8 years of working on issues that were caused by and effect 12 million people. Palin has 6 years as mayor of a quaint back-country village. Oh, and she also was councilor of that same village for ~4 years! So with McCain as president, you are guaranteed a president that lies to America that he actually cares about the safety of this country, as proved by the fact that Obama, with more experience than Palin, is "inexperience" according to McCain, but Palin somehow has enough experience.
Each of the allegations (aside from Wright) you mention have so little evidence in support of them they amount to smear politics. As for Wright, it is not logical to assume Obama agrees with him, and didn't merely put up with him for any number of reasons. You realize you are speaking to people who bought the fact that Kerry, a decorated war hero, was a coward and Bush, who scurried away from duty was a hero. They gleefully tarred and feathered Edwards for having an affair while ignoring that McCain left his first crippled, overweight wife who waited for him during the war for multiple affairs and finally a trophy wife.

The above are just a sampling of a large volume of racist, anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda that can be found on user-generated pages on Sen. Barack Obama's official campaign website, which allows registered members to form groups and post content in online "community" blogs.
The Obama campaign does not monitor all blog material but says it removes offending posts brought to the attention of site administrators.
A search through the community blogs on Obama's official site under such key words as "Zionists," "Israel Lobby," or "Jews" brings up thousands of entries, some containing what can easily be described as hate material.
In a blog posting on Obama's site titled, "Are Israeli Zionists in Control of Our Democracy?" user "Stan" claims "Israeli elements" in the U.S. who possess both American and Israeli citizenship "dominate our political process so we cannot act as an honest broker in the Middle East."

He said members of Congress "know that they must support the will of Israel or be subjected to the wrath of [pro-Israel groups]."
The posting goes on to urge a U.S. military boycott of Israel, lamenting that Hamas is labeled a terror group while the U.S. supplied Israel with "planes, rockets, cluster and phosphorus bombs for Israel to use at will."
Another blog entry, simply titled "Palestinians," concocts "Jewish genocide of six million Palis (Palestinians)" and urges Obama to "level the playing field for the suffering Palestinians."
"Many non-militant Arabs and Muslims await some degree of fairness from you if you are elected," noted the entry.
In a blog titled "Palestine vs. Israel," MyObama user "Patti" complains she "cannot comprehend how many Jewish people can speak of the Holocaust as well as stating that Israel is the Holy Land and commit the atrocities they are committing against the Palestinian people."
A blog labeled "The only way to free America" urges Americans to "throw the Jews in the oven."
"Shed ourselves from the racist Zionists in America. They control everything. But they won't keep us down any longer. Throw the Jews in the oven this November. Its the only way we can free America and make sure barack obama is elected!
One entry titled, "Stop the attacks on Muslim Nations to please Zionists," announces "Israel has destroyed its own image in the world and is taking America down with its Zionist aggression."
Anti-Semitic rhetoric is not limited to blog entries alone, but can also be found in user comments on some of the blog postings.
For example, a comment on a blog discussing energy, reads "Burn something else besides oil...start with the Zionists."
Many of the "Israel Lobby" entries have comments accusing Jews of controlling the U.S.
Still some comments are positive.
A comment on one anti-Israel entry asks the user, "Please re-think posting material like this; we are not interested in an anti-Israel policy."
The same entry elicited a comment from an Obama registered user stating, "The last thing we need is to be aligned with more anti-Semitic rhetoric. Jewish conspiracy speculation should be left to the experts at the United Nations."
Several offensive postings on the Obama site previously noted by WND and some Internet blogs have been removed by the Obama website staff.
One recently removed posting claims Jews control the media. Another referred to Jews as "puppet masters" and "war criminals." Yet another posting, titled "The Israeli connection to 9/11," claimed Israeli intelligence was involved in the mega-attack and planted "false flags" to blame Arab countries.
Other removed MyObama posts have warned of "Judeofacists and their Neocon comrades" who "already destroyed America" and declare the "entire Congress should be overthrown by revolution for having sold America to the Israelis."
Obama's campaign did not return a WND e-mail request for comment before press time, but Obama spokesmen previously have stated the campaign cannot monitor all content but it promptly removes content brought to its attention that is deemed inappropriate or hateful.
A disclaimer on the MyObama blog section reads, "Content on blogs in My.BarackObama represents the opinions of community members and in no way should be interpreted as endorsed or approved by the campaign."

Pastor Kalnins - who she name-checks in her address - has said “I hate criticisms towards the President because it’s like criticisms towards the pastor — it’s almost like, it’s not going to get you anywhere, you know, except for hell. That’s what it’ll get you.”
When one of his longtime parishioners is a potential vice-president, who one hopes should be a Riker to the president’s Picard, we can only hope that this notion hasn’t taken root. And if old, sick, McCain should expire while on the job, does America need a president who believes (a) that she’s fulfilling a destiny set out by God, and (b) that her critics will all go to hell?
What the world could do without right now is an (assistant) world leader trying to summon the return of the Messiah. This is the real world. We can’t afford more leaders who have difficulty telling the difference between a foreign policy briefing and a reject script from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
The sane people of Planet Earth don’t need to be caught between Islamism and Endofdaysers. We politely request that they ask their rival gods to pick another planet to fight over. How about HD 209458b?

She really ripped up Obama tonight.
This is a man [McCain] who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed... when the roar of the crowd fades away... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan?
