Daily I get as well as come across disturbing specifics about Obama and his campaign. There is no way this country can come together under an Obama presidency.

This last series of articles started with the Sarah Silverman video promoting Obama. I got calls from friends and family about this video. They were upset with the disrespectful way she talked about her family. It seems that the video has been viewed in one form or another just under a million times.

Today I learned that there was a business connected with the video.

Then I learned that the same group was using deceptive editing in another pro-Obama video and that Dayan and Halevy were publicly objecting to this.

Or that he has made remarks disparaging the Likud Party, likely to be in power again within months. Or that so many elements hostile to Israel are in his corner. Or that John McCain is projected to get upwards of 80% of the vote from Americans actually in Israel-tens of thousands of patriotic Americans who might know a thing or two about the implications of America's Mideast policies.

I find it alarming that after many long months of emails bashing Obama now we have emails surfacing in support of him. Obviously he is making an impact in the Florida jewish community where most of my family resides.

I even got a call out of the blue on my Florida cell phone asking for support for Obama.

McCain should realize that Florida's 27 electoral votes is his for the taking and still up for grabs.

Why is that alarming or even surprising? Polls show that Obama is in the lead. Even McCain admits that he is behind. Therefore, you are more likely to get emails from supporters than opponents. Do the math.

Obama isn't the devil and neither is McCain and we'll survive either one. I should think that the Jews would want to have some sort of power base regardless of who gets elected. So far as I can see they will. Obama will be a friend to Israel and McCain will be a friend to Israel.

Most of the Russian Jews will vote for McCain - grandparents, parents and everyone in between. That I can guarantee. If we could concentrate in some place and actually voted then we could have some impact on the election.

I have not met an older Jewish American voter in the 50+ age range who is for Obama. That makes a McCain win look likely in Florida. I have, however, met many older Israeli American Jews who are for Obama, but thankfully most of these live in NY or CA, which are blue states regardless.

I see Jews as being in a really vulnerable position thanks to how Obama has conducted his campaign, and the current economy. There will be a lot of accusations when the Jewish vote doesn't go towards a Democrat, and nobody will be putting the responsibility on Obama himself. Even if he wins, he's such a divisive candidate and he just doesn't grasp the separation of church and state. All of this amounts to some delicate times for us Jews.

This is a mazzahball of a question... It could be minuscule, and then again it can be massive. The former is self explanatory. The latter, well if it emboldens the enemies of the US (which typically has been the case with Democrats since at least FDR... Cuban Missile Crisis being a challenge won, and the Iranian Hostages as a challenge lost). Maybe AQ or the Mulahs, or the N Koreans or the Russians or the Chinese... but lets stick to AQ for the moment... will calculate that Obama is equal or worse than Willie and will, like Willie toss, a couple of missiles their way but wouldn't have the heart (or the support, or the skills or the allies) to take them on long haul, wont have the heart to virtually annihilate Pakistan or Saudi Arabia etc if the crappola hits the fan. Maybe they'll feel they can get away with, well, blowing up a few Synagogues in Cali, or a Rabbinical Seminary in NY or maybe a small retirement community in Florida say.... yeah I bet the Jews can indeed be affected. Carter affected us a lot.

This is a rhetorical comment, don't feel compelled to explore this, I'm not so interested in US politics save how they effect Israel.

Just how do you think life would be different for Jews under an Obama presidency?

Phrase this question differently and the answer is a little more obvious. How will a deeper depression change life for Jews in America? We already have the typical groups who blame the Jews, blaming the Jews, but such sentiments are becoming more and more mainstream. We're going to see greater attention paid towards radicalized socialist doctrines, which will no doubt make a lot of liberal Jews happy...at first. I think we know how certain styles of socialism, during economic downturns has worked out for Jews in the past. Obama's plan to enforce selective service through religious and community organizations is one very concrete way in which Jews will be effected.

The Goerge Soros, MoveOn and ANSWER politics that have helped create a tense atmosphere for Jews will be given a mainstream platform, and we have no strong voices to refute improper claims. There are public school text books being used in the US that read as if the Muslim Brotherhood were the author, and so we have a generation indoctrinated with misleading info about Jews. We can look at Obama's mentors and work associates and see how this is not the type of administration we need following up the type of post9/11 interfaith inclusiveness policies that have been intentionally damaging for the standing of Jews in America.

I see the world turning into a powder keg under Obama, both due to his economical approach, and his concepts for diplomacy.

If Obama wins, he will continue the direction his life has gone so far. There is no indication he has ever cooperated with those he considers his opponents.

In the first place no country that has been taken over by those using Robin Hood politics supports capitalism. Cuba, Argentina, Russia, China come to mind. While the Jewish community tends to the left in supporting a welfare system, it's welfare for other people, not for themselves. Jews historically have liked to own businesses; socialism supports control of everything.

Jews like arguing about whatever. Socialism does not like disagreements with those in power. While Jews may help bring socialists into power, they don't stay around for very long. It's all well and good to be argumentative when one is the opposition, but who to argue with when the ones supported are in power and allow no opposition. Obama has learned to do it the Chicago way, all talk, no reality, no opposition allowed. (See the Kass column that appeared last Sunday in the Chicago Tribune.)

I'll throw in a bit of New Age here. In the New Age political system, which was written about by Foster Bailey, husband of Alice Bailey, there was support for communism. Alice Bailey wrote that the Jews were to be hated because they were always separate, never blending in with the surrounding culture. In that belief system, separation is the ultimate evil. Socialism says blend in or else.

When Robin Hood politics are in play, the opposition becomes those considered rich. Jews have bragged over the years how successful the community is. A no no and a problem now. As in the Lehman rumors.

The left supports the "poor" Palestinian underdogs. Better the Jewish community get in line there also. No arguing. No separation allowed. Obama has a history of Muslim and leftist communist support.

Because he will choose to have those like him around him in support positions, where will he get balancing viewpoints? The countries of the world are moving in the same direction as Obama is moving. McCain appears to be going in that direction also, as had Bush. Obama will just be doing it on steroids.

I know this might appear as simplistic rather than academic reasoning. I can post many links supporting these positions, but would anyone read them? The question was asked on a thread I started, so I decided to answer it in my own way.
