Arafat: Palestinians fully control the security situation

From a report on yet another European peace plan:
Arafat told [Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig] Moeller that in spite of the daily IDF action in the territories, Palestinians are "able to fully control the security situation" in the Palestinian areas.

Oh, so does that mean that Arafat does not deny being responsible for the car bomb and the three suicide bombers found today?

Well, Arafat meant the security of his own people I guess.

The thing is, that what the Danish people hear is what Arafat says. They don`t hear about the two dead soldiers, or about the insanely huge car-bomb that was luckily captured, those news just don`t get there. I was very surprised to see the detonation of the car-bomb on CNN last night, because they generally don`t pay attention to such events, a specially if there aren`t any casualties.
And the point of all this? Israeli PR sucks a lot of #$#%, enough said.

With Regard to Arafat's "control" of security, would it be a surpirise to read the report that Arafat actually secretly gives APPROVAL for Homicide bombings...

    Arafat is behind the attacks:

    Read this article:

Instead of EU plans do indict Arial Sharon, maybe Arafat should be the one to go on War-Crimes trial.

To the best of my knowledge, the European Union has no plans of this kind. All there is is a lawsuit brought up against Sharon in a Belgian court by private initiative, exploiting a specific loophole in Belgian national law.

Belgian National law!? That does my head in, why should they have any authority over us??

I'm in the UK, and the day I consider myself European is the day hell freezes over and satan skates to work.

You should ask the Belgian legislators. The provision is unique . There is an anti-Sharon site, "indictsharon" (I don't remember the exact TLD, probably "org"), maybe it provides the legal details too.

Just like I thought, another biased Pro-Palestinian website Makes me wonder, is anyone in Europe still thinking straight...

The Site talks about a Boycott of Israeli goods, more anti-semitticism....Maybe I'll make that site boycotting Belgian goods after all.

Good Grief RedLine, a site called"indictSharon.net" is pro-Palestinian. You must have been really surprised to discover that, after carefully reading through all their material.

And "the site" comes in for a bit of criticism.

This threads as pro-Palestinain as any thread on israelforum.

"Boycott Israeli Goods" is a campaign about occupation, not religion.

Perhaps you think that the National Geographic is anti-semitic as well?

    Which demonstrates what?

"Boycott Israeli Goods" is a campaign about occupation, not religion.
    From news article:

"I would have stood up in a court of law and sworn these people did not have a racist bone in their bodies." Stephen Pollard, a well-known left-of-center writer and broadcaster, and a Jew, was describing a group of his closest, oldest Gentile friends sitting together recently at a dinner party.

"Suddenly, one of them said, 'I'm boycotting Israeli goods.' I challenged her:'Do you mean Jewish goods?' 'No,' she replied, 'Israeli.' I asked: 'What about Dixon's [the high-street electronics chain owned by a prominent UK Jewish philanthropist and Zionist, Sir Stanley Kalms]?' ' Yes, she agreed, she would boycott Dixon's, too. And then it came pouring out. 'You all stick together - always going on about the Holocaust. Stephen, you're the same as the rest of them: You only defend Israel because you're Jewish.' The others all took her side. 'Why don't you leave her alone. She's only saying what we think.' I felt nauseated and shocked. I had been living in a dream world."

Anglo-Jewry's dream world has been jolted twice over: once by the intifada, and then by September 11. The left-liberal media (The Guardian, The Independent, the BBC, the New Statesman) are scathing in their criticism of Israel. Spokesmen for Britain' two million-strong Muslim community are virulent in their attacks on the Jewish state and on its supporters. London's chattering classes are reportedly making uninhibitedly anti-Semitic remarks at dinner parties. The Jews lump all thesetogether - and are worried.

"You can't always see [anti-Semitism]," Lord Greville Janner, the veteran Labour politician quotes his father, Barnett Janner - both were prominent leaders of British Jewry - "but you can always smell it." Lord Janner does not like the smell of some fellow members of the House of Lords addressing him as "you people." In his 27 years in the House of Commons, he says, "I don't remember anyone ever saying that. And it is spreading. The anti- Israel media have taken on board the Arab propaganda line that September 11 was partly due to Muslim suffering, caused by Israel."

If it engages Andrew Cockburn, of all people, to write on the subject ten it is probably crazy
