Before she lost the nomination to Obama weren't you the one telling us that she was a friend of Israel?
So what's wrong with visiting Ramallah? Why can't a friend of Israel visit Ramallah?
If you want peace you need to talk to both parties. That's what Bush W. didn't do... That's why US middle Eastern policy (foreign policy in general) was such a mess last 8 years;
On the contrary.
It was meeting with terrorists under that brought us to Oslo, and fallout when it turned into a massive failure for Palestinians, and empowered terror groups all through out the region. It was Bush spending too much time appeasing Arab interests in Saudi Arabia by talking.
The times in which reasoning with an enemy provided positive results are few, and the only examples I can think of happened under the circumstances of a no-talk policy. In that case, the agreement to even sit down and talk was the gesture towards peace and received results. To do it just to do it, as publicity effort is worthless and detrimental.
Israeli leaders talks to Hamas and Hezbollah through third parties all the time. They should be criticized as well.
