Maven - if you get the chance, read Nonie Darwish's book 'Cruel and Unusual Punishment'. (Sharia) She is an Egyptian, daughter of the man who formed the Fedayeen and one-time resident of Gaza.
She converted from Islam to Christianity and now writes about her former life. It's an interesting read.
With regard to your comments, Nonie claims that victimhood is, in part, a natural by-product of Islam; although this is more in the ME than in the West. That said, many of the radicals reaching out to our young people ARE from the ME.
It's an interesting insight into Sharia and into the psychology of ME/Islam.
I'm now about to read Walid Shoebat's book. He's another convert; one-time West Bank PLO activist and hater of all things Jewish/Israeli, to Christian, total supporter of all he once detested.

Hi Sharona. I heard most about it on the TV. She's very brave and her life is under threat but there will be more like her in the future no doubt.
It looks heavily retouched. Her eyes are well lit when they should be in the shadow. What is the source of the photo, or don't we care?
Its a digital shot, possibly 72dpi, that's been saved in jpeg format at low compression. Probably opened and re-saved half a dozen times thus ruining the original clarity. The highlighted flesh tones look odd alright but that's more to do with a small colour palette than any photoshopery. Just my guess. You might be right nonetheless.

I can't doubt it or not until I know its origin. It's entirely possible that a woman in niqab is holding that sign. It is also possible, as proved by its twin that whatever her sign originally said was retouched. I don't accept it without question given that I don't have a source for it.

There were complaints and I believe a couple of people were prosecuted. The scarves around faces let most of them off the hook.
