Yes, the facts are right and Israel will never agree to give up the Kinneret to Syrian control. I thought that was understood. If there were ever an agreement, I suppose Israel would dispense some water to Syria (as the article mentioned they do with Jordan) but a failed regime such as Syria could never be given control of any water source in this region .

Because of waste and inefficiency, Syria pours more than 4 billion barrels of fresh water a year into the sea. This is about 4x the combined consumption of Israel, the West Bank and Jordan. In fact about 7 years ago Syria refused to be paid money for the construction rights and rights of way to build a water pipeline from Turkey to Israel. Moreover Syria actively pursues a program to dump pollutants into the Jordan river.

If they run out of water, I will be cheering. Let them drink dust. Or let their new friends in the State Department buy them massive water desalination plants. Or let Iran and Hezbollah buy water for them. Either way who cares?
