I'm a bit scared of this programme the very title of which I consider to be anti-Semitic. We never get any programmes about the 'Palestinian Lobby' and the very title confirms all the Zionist conspiracy stuff out there in lefty Britain, as well as the delegitimising of Israel ongoing in the UK.

Channel Four/ITN is often the nastiest station when dealing with Israel. If you're in the UK you might check it out.

Peter Oborne will present the Dispatches programme on Channel 4 which investigates the 'influence' of the Israeli lobby
Comments made over the Channel Four Dispatches investigation into the 'influence' of the Israeli lobby has drawn concern from the Community Security Trust.

The organisation expressed its concern over the language used in comments about the programme on the Channel 4 website, some of which suggested the programme would be about a shadowy and wealthy lobby bankrolling political parties in order to exert undue influence over UK policy towards Israel.

In a blog written by the CST, the organisation said this kind of language has a basis had been traditionally antisemitic.

“Our fear was that by emphasising the supposed hidden power and influence of the “pro-Israel lobby” over politicians and the media, and promising to expose “the wealthy individuals who help bankroll the lobbying”, Dispatches was unwittingly playing up to antisemitic stereotypes.

“Since then, the latest comments posted on the Dispatches website further underline the reason for our fears,” the blog reads.

A spokesman for Channel 4 said the programme was “an entirely legitimate area for journalistic investigation, not least in the run-up to an election, where a lobby working in support of the interests of a foreign power could wield great influence in shaping future British policy”.

they talk about how "israel invaded gaza last year, and killed 100 palestinians"

not mentioning the rockets, not mentioning that this was caused by the attacks on israel and it was an act to defend israels population , furthermore no mention that out of the 1000 Palestinians the vast majority where terrorists or took part in acts of terror.

The stupid London Jewish Chronicle was trying to put the BNP in the frame for what was done by their lefty right-on liberal friends. This even after the gradually reforming BNP was the only party to support Israel in Gaza.

The reality is now that the only friends in European politics Israel has are from the less extreme of the so-called 'far-right' parties including people like Nick Griffin and Geert Wilders whose parties had anti-Semitic roots.

The programme started with the blood libel showing British Jewish lobbyists stuffing themselves with meat intercut with pools of blood from dead Palestinian civilians on Gazas streets, and the usual footage of people running to hospitals with the little kids they sent out to play in the hope they would get some schrapnel.

This was pure biased, one-sided Pallywood bile, hate and anti-Semitism made blessed and ok by the liberal media.

This was the equivelent of dropping an atomic bomb on a small defenceless Jewish community in the UK.

Needless to say there was some stupid liberal Rabbi rendering the whole nasty excercise kosher for all the Britisher-nebishers. I hope he wept in his talit when he saw what he had contributed to.

Things will never be the same again for Israel in British political circles, the attempt to influence events from behind the scenes instead of starting a news channel and fighting Israel's case in the open has now blown up in their faces BIG TIME!

The pure hatred for Israel in the UK is now going to mean that there are votes for any MP who joins the 'anti-Zionist' bandwagon. Muslims are dancing in the streets; just check the website of the MPACUK.

You put your finger right on it Sunshine. I for one have been struggling to get the message across that yes, you may criticize an extremist Zionist but to criticise a moderate Zionist is racism and anti-Semitism because today all Zionism means is that Jews have somewhere to run to when the worst excesses of the Liberal-left have brought about such a high-degree of Islamification in Britainiastan and hatred of the community that people can say 'I'm off!." But the British way is just to marry out and embrace the pork. Can't see many people wanting to move to Obamaland these days.

The programme did not amount to a hill o' beans when you look at the sums of money that this supposedly terrifying lobby is wielding about, and his claims that every MP and newspaper editor is shaking in their boots in fear of their career prospects to say anything critical of Israel may be pure leftist lies, but the problem is every word will be believed by the masses and DanBrownified into another thread of the Great Jewish Zionist Conspiracy.

The surreal thing is that the programme which went out before it on Al Jazzera's 'Witness' with Rageh Omar was one of the lovliest, most touching, heart mending documentaries about Israel I have ever seen and this morning Al Jazeera's website is carrying a piece on the 'Dispatches' hatchet job which strips the programme down to the bones in a way which could be described as pro-Israel and anti-hysteria.

As you say, the programme never mentioned the existance of Hamas or the rockets fired into Israel in the first part of their programme because of course this was simply an unprovoked attack on an innocent civilian population which is what Zionists like to do from time to time just because of their insatiable thirst for human blood.

It only admitted that Hezbollah attacked Israel first from Lebanon in order to show that two soldiers killed and two kidnapped was followed by a wholly over the top response. At dinner tables in Hampstead and Islington no doubt the glitterati like Vanessa Redgrave and Glenda Jackson were uncorking the Chateau lafite and saying "O these Jews are SO dispropotionate darling!"

Only bear in mind if it was shown in the US hardly anyone would see it but when shown in a small country with a handful of newschannels it will have altered the conciousness of the public:

At the end of the programme he compared the appeal in 1982 for Lebanon to the appeal for Gaza as the Gaza conflict was ongoing.

What he left out was that in 1982 it was extremly sexy in the UK to be Jewish and Israel had broad if not romantic support; that was before Londinistan and the Islamification of Britian.

The proposed appeal during Gaza would have fed into huge anti-Israel sentiment from the left who had by then entered into an unholy marriage with the Islamists and were marching in hundreds of thousands in London carrying placards saying "We are all Hamas now", wearing masks of Jews with huge hook noses and holding up signs with Swastikas superimposed on the star of David, while Muslims stoned Jewish centers, schools and Synagogues.

Ironic how he thought that the images used in the Channel4 Gaza appeal he showed were perfectly ok and could not be criticised by Jews, when they were in fact quite inflamitory despite the clever legalistic wording run over them.

And of course as he alleged shroud-waver extrodinaire Orla Guerin was not in any way biased, anti-Semitic or pro Hezbollah as this footage shows:

A row over the Channel 4 flagship investigative programme Dispatches, which examined the influence of the Israeli lobby, has erupted after the programme was broadcast last night.

The programme, Inside Britain’s Israel Lobby, had already attracted criticism for the antisemitic comments posted on the Channel 4 website.

Zionist Federation co-Vice Chairman Jonathan Hoffman denounced the programme on the website CiF Watch, claiming: “The lack of substance was amply demonstrated by the people who were prepared to go ‘on the record’ – namely the usual as-a-Jew suspects accompanied by representatives of the Guardian, the (ex)BBC and the Foreign Office.”

Melanie Phillips, who wrote a response to the programme in The Spectator, said: “After watching Peter Oborne’s ‘Dispatches’ programme on the power of the Israel lobby in Britain, the scales have fallen from my eyes.”

“I now see things in an entirely different light. I now realise that the power of this unique cabal is so vast and unprecedented in its truly demonic power – a power given to no other lobby – that both the Labour government and Tory opposition slavishly and unquestioningly support Israel’s military actions and that the Guardian and the BBC have found themselves totally unable to publish or transmit anything other than wholehearted support for Israel.”
