If I believed that a conventional attack would successfully destroy Iran's nuclear ambitions/capabilities, then I would advocate it. But I don't (at least for now) believe that such a venture would meet with success. And if I am right (and I do hope that I am wrong), then the attempt itself will bring about a self fulfilling prophecy because it will give Iran a gift wrapped excuse to carry out it's own threats against Israel which otherwise it may not do because of Israel's own nuclear deterrent.

Of course, my analysis could be wrong just as anyone else's take on it may be wrong ...

Technology is progressing and if we set Iran back 2 years that means 2 years more improvement on a missile defense system.

Waiting for their hit is just not a good option.

Arabs respect force and time we showed them when you threaten us you are going to get burnt.

Right, so if no amount of deterrence will work then no amount of deterrence will work. I think that if Iran would give an atomic bomb to Hezbollah or something like that then it would be clear who did. Or it wouldn't matter. It would spell the end of Hezbollah, Lebanon, Syria and large parts of Iran. The Iranian clericy may not care but the other nations might. I would silence Egypt and Turkey for just about forever. The Saudis would be thrilled though.

But since these are tactical weapons they don't much of a risk to Israel except to border towns in the far north.

As I said before if Hamas gets a bomb they won't try and get near the border with us but will blow up people in Gaza.

Iran and the other muslim's could care less about the Dome on the rock. Mohamad never traveled to Jerusalem. They know this and only use their lies about tieing his donkey to the wall as an excuse to make a false claim to Jerusalem. They want to wipe Israel from the map. They are just crazy enough to do it.
