Death threat against Jews removed from web.

The Danish newspaper the Urban carried an article indicating that the Islamic Fundamentalist party Hizb-ut-Tahrir continued to call for the death of Jews on their website. The party’s spokesperson Fadi Abdel was recently convicted for handing out pamphlets in Denmark calling for the same thing, Fadi Abdel was sentenced last Wednesday to a conditional 60 days in jail.

After the newspaper article was published the death threats were removed from the web.

Michael Jørgensen said that Fadi Abdel was convicted for handing out the pamphlets and further charges weren’t contemplated for posting the death threats on the web. Currently the law in Denmark governing death threats on the web is a grey area.

Wow, I see websites in the UK that have no problem at all with publishing a general call to murder and mayhem. Maybe there's hope.

If my memory serves me new tougher laws against anti Semitism and racism are due to be enacted in the EU sometimes in 2003.

A conditional 60-day sentence for passing out pamphlets calling for the murder of Jews is mild. There’s no initiate for the individual to correct his behavior.

I watched a program on TV some time ago about the Danish penal system, they have coed jails there. The program featured a murderer that was sharing a jail cell with a girlfriend.
