Turkey: Apologize or we'll cut ties

Turkey's foreign minister has warned that diplomatic ties with Israel will be cut in the wake of the recent flotilla crisis unless certain conditions are met, the Turkish press reported Monday.

"The Israelis have three options: They will either apologize or acknowledge an international-impartial inquiry and its conclusion. Otherwise, our diplomatic ties will be cut off," Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters on Saturday during a visit to Kyrgyzstan.

I would like to post this comment made by a Turkish Citizen who may i add has made many comments on the Haaretz website.

This is what i have been trying to explain from my previous posts . that the issue with Turkey and it's actions against Israel was a long time coming. Nationalist or pro-Islamic this progressive nature from Turkey has all the distinct markings of it's predecessor Ottoman Government.

The Jewry of the World must , realise that what befell the Armenians , Greeks and even the Kurd s during those dark days can and will happen again if the Government is not made accountable for the actions of it's predecessors .

Israel is not immune to any act that may occur against it's people , Armenians also witnessed this after 500 years of brutal occupation of it's historic lands.

I have no problem with cutting diplomatic ties with Israel and cancel commercial flights if this makes even a tiniest contribution to increase pressure on Israel to be more considerate in treating Palestinians. Israel's commercial dealings with Israel are 100% commercial in the sense that we do not get any know-how from tight-lipped Israelis, so let the bridges crash, who needs them ? Who needs them ? "

I'm not well aware of that circumstance but if it was proven so then yes .
