Abbas will soon announce he wants direct negotiations with us

The building mortitorium in the west bank and I guess in Jerusalem will be coming to end this coming up September and what have we got from it...namely nothing.

Are their any betters out their that just as on ebay Abbas will announce that he wants to negotiate directly (put up a bid) at the last days of this period still making announcements after the fact?

He'll blame us for 10 months of zero progress no doubt and people will ask us to reconsider as we obviously caused the delay with things like the Floatilla and such.

He has a raft of new demands, yes? Such as agree to all previous demanded terms before discussing anything.

Well Obama just upgraded the PLO status in DC, previous to any concessions. If there was an equivalent gesture (=moving embassy in Jerusalem) then I'd say we should ok direct talks. Otherwise just say no. The thing to do is to embarrass Obama on every front, so he doesn't get solace in this area while he's destroying the US economy, deterrence, not to mention global stability for western values and civilization.

Abbas will not meet with anyone face to face.

And maybe, just maybe, wishful thinking, left leaning, Israeli politicians will learn some lessons about not pushing their noses into the politicking of our enemies. Hopefully they won't attempt to build up the stocks of any 'would be' Palestinian Arab leader and call him peaceful 'peace partner', which is what they did with Abbas when they wanted to undermine Arafat. And look what he is up to now ... I for one don't think he is into any kind of a peace deal with Israel ...

Dare we hope that wishful thinking Israeli leaders have learnt that lesson?

But to his credit - he said Jews have rights. And of course he was roundly condemned. Hey at least he admits we're people.

As we get closer to September here's today's ME headline...

"Signs of movement towards Middle East peace talks"

It's like bidding on ebay people. Abbas is just going through the motions.

    Who doubts me?

Now if we extended the moratorium on building for 3 months from today, when will Abbas announce that he needs an extention?

A first graders reader comprehension is all that's necessary no matter how much of a straight face world leaders put on.
