No other European nation has its views screwed up more than the Germans. I wouldn't take seriously any of that. Fuehrer is bad, but Jews are worse. They want to be closer to Russia while their best friend is France. They work hard and pay for the PIGS' debts - because the French had told them to. And then the re-unification and absorption of forever disturbed easties. I don't think Germany will be able to overcome its past in our lifetime. It'll be full of these fringe "ideas" and any poll can produce an outcome which looks shocking but is in fact meaningless.

I have no doubt there is a lot of overlap between the 17% of Germans who believe Jews have 'too much influence' and the 10% who want a 'new Fuehrer to lead the country with iron fist'.

Let's not blame all Germans for the attitudes of a small minority. I say that as a Jew whose ancestors came from Altona, Germany. Lumping all Germans together is no different from those who lump all Jews together.

All our ancestors came from Germany, dayag, for someone identified as an Ashkenazi it would be really strange otherwise.
I don't blame all Germans, I just think that the trauma and consequences of the Nazi era is going to dominate the nation for any foreseable future.
