With Iranian warships moving along the Suez and a grad being shot at us, I am sure our IDF is looking for an opportunity to control the Gaza border area currently with Egypt but we need enough provication and timing to do so.

Currently the focus is on Libya and the Arab world and we'd hate to grab headlines but time will change that and Gaza will one day soon start shooting.

Could we be condemned a lot more in the UN for invading Gaza and controling the flow of goods from the Egyptian side? We better take on the added burden of protecting our citizens the best way possible and expecting the Egyptians to do nothing to stop the flow of arms in.

It's either secure Gaza or risk an esculation with Egypt. I'd prefer UN condemnation rather than esculation with an army twice our size and no doubt with a sympathetic supportive vioce in Washington.
