A number of rabbis and public figures from the city of Raanana have signed a letter strongly condemning the desecration of a local Reform synagogue.

"This act, like other acts of violence, saddens all of us," the letter said. "We stress that the Torah condemns any act of violence and harm to our fellowman."

The synagogue's windows were smashed with stones last weekend, and the writing "It has begun" was scrawled on the building's wall. A complaint was filed with the police.

im sure it was muslims that did this, "it has begun" referes to the ethnic cleanisng the muslims want to do to the jewish people in israel as well as everywhere else on the planet, inorder to establish a muslim 'caliphate" state that will stretch from "palestine" in the east to indonesia .

one must understand the brain of a muslim to understand why they picked a reform synagogue, they did it so people will think orthodox jews did it, everyone with a brain

I wish I could say Dayag wasn't right, but I can't. I lived in Beit Shemesh and too many (but by no means all) of the so-called "Ultra-Orthodox" living there are thugs who stone cars driving through on Shabbat, stand in front of national religious girls schools yelling "whores" because the girls are not covered from head to toe, and spraying graffiti on walls that says, "Death to the Zionists".

Don't get me wrong. I also find it disturbing when secular, leftists call all Haredim "parasites", but to say Jews are not capable of torching a reform synagogue (or even a modern Orthodox one for that matter) is wishful thinking.
