I don't know. It certainly is a paradox. I am sure the Jews were overwhelmingly pro-Carter and anti-Reagan too. Suicidal tendencies? Falsely interpreted "humanism" and "compassion"? Instinctive taking sides with the more "liberal" and "tolerant" to the minorities?
When a couple of years ago I said at one of our extended family gatherings "Bring back Dubbya now!" all under-35s pretty much were ready to annihilate me for that. Obama's the word. Enigma wrapped in the riddle etc.
The Islamists have infiltrated the media, education establishments, the military and politics. While the first impressions of Obamas policies lead us to believe that he is stupid one only has to look at his education to see that he is not. When we look at his upbringing then we can only conclude that he has been a very successful mole.
Witness some of the logic behind that 70%: example 1, example 2. Here is a datapoint to consider for Mr. Koch on the domestic front.

It doesn't neccesarily mean someone who is paid to infiltrate etc. I view an agent as someone who works towards a goal supporting certain viewpoints and advancing them where possible to achieve said ends. No, there are lots of posts with which I disagree strongly. I don't move them to the Loony Bin. But the idea that Barack Obama is a secret Muslim trying to destroy America belongs in the Loony Bin, in my opinion.

We saw those pre-election. Turns out he was trying on native garb when he finally went to Kenya as a young man. To the extent there was a Muslim influence, I would think his childhood in Indonesia would have been a bigger deal in his life.
His commie (well, socialist at least) mom was an atheist, and his track record in the US was at most agnostic until he learned he needed a church affiliation to be accepted as a community organizer (politician) in Chicago. His choice of Churchs there seems to have been politically pragmatic.
