Most of my family is in Tel Aviv. They are surrounded by hostile and angry Arabs. Sometimes "surrounded" only a few feet away. This line of reasoning is a non starter IMHO... They will be hostile to us everywhere. In Israel in Judea in Paris in NY, on the bloody moon. They are self victimized savages, who know better, and choose to remain the same. Their pride and joy is one Mohammed- rapist, molester, murderer and bandit. They have destroyed Jewish communities before the founding of Israel. Their whole world view is using us as the eternal adversary, since they have nothing better to do. Seriously, consider these things.

I think it's quite different in Gush Etzion, then Tel Aviv, where people are hardly aware of any conflict existing - or like to think it away.

Mohammed actually had quite amazing teachings - derived from Jews no less. The state of the Arab world today is so lousy that it would be only understandable that the weaker facets of society will pull out some fantasy from the past so they can restore the glory of what was once lost - paradise. Jews sometimes remind me of this, especially the one's who want to re institute Temple sacrifice and other outdated lifestyles.

That's what they said to the original chalutzim who built up the Yishuv under the Turks and later the British! As Herzl said: "Im tirtzu, ein zo agadah"!

A few kilometers is a woeful example of different. There is no difference between a condo in Gush Etzion and a posh place in Herzliya, not to the Arabs and not to their supporters. They just go for the lowest hanging fruit. When we were in Lebanon, they attacked that the most. When we were in Sinai, that was the most important thing. Inch by inch... foot by foot, the Jihad takes it's toll.

I beg to differ. He had a hodgepodge of Arab/Helenic pagan syncretism going with Oriental Christianity and a smidgen of Jewish and Samaritan ideas. The black rock is not related to Judaism but rather a holy artifact of the Arab moon god. Halal is not related to Judaism. The moral prerogative to annihilate or enslave the world is certainly not part of Judaism at his time and afterwards.
