The UN Human Rights Commissioner's Double Standard

According to UN Human Rights Commissioner Navi Pillay, long-standing policies of locking up asylum seekers had 'cast a shadow over Australia's human rights record', and appeared to be completely arbitrary.

Really? Then where is her outrage about the treatment of Palestinian Arab refugees in Arab countries?

For over 60 years, various Arab countries kept those refugees in camps and refused to give them asylum. At the same time Israel absorbed an even greater number of Jewish refugees from Arab countries and integrated them into Israeli society.

It is a well known fact why Arab countries refuse to integrate their fellow Palestinian Arab Muslims into their societies. They want to use these refugees as cannon fodder to keep their fight against Israel going.

Yet the self righteous Navi Pillay seems to have nothing to say about the treatment of refugees in Arab countries she singles out only Australia and Israel for criticism. Maybe she and the UN are the ones with racist tendencies?

Oh and what about the outrage of so called progressives in Australia and other places against their own government's policies? It's nice to see that they care about their fellow human beings, even though they seemed to be missing in action in the 1940s when Jewish refugees were seeking sanctuaries from the death camps of Nazi Germany. But yet again, today they are selective with their outrage.

Speak up guys! Your silence is deafening! Why are you so silent about the treatment of refugees in Arab countries? Why are you guys only ever outraged about what countries like Israel, America and Australia does or does not do? Are Arabs exempt from having to do the right thing?
