Hello. I was never much concerned or interested in judaism and jews but since a genetic test told me i have a tad bit jewish ancestry its like a spirit entered me. I know it doesnt make me jewish but i started feeling like one and even have bad conscious when i eat pork because i know jews dont eat pork. Im raised a christian but im interested to learn what basics jews follow. I started by not eating pork and beef. Dont know if this is correct but its healthy. What else could I do. I really have no clue about judaism and im not circumsized and only a tad bit jewish if its hold truth what the genetic test says but still its like a spirit entered me. I want to practice it for myself only and i think judaism could help me also to solve personal problems and issues. I wont be a Jew but i could follow some basics. Can you recommend me some basic things to do. Thanks

ok i went through some pages, still much to read left but its late. It looks very difficult to understand fully and follow i think it would take a lifetime to follow everything. i must say after reading this im quiete discouraged. we dont even have shops who sell kosher certified food by rabbis. maybe avoid non/kosher animals would be possible and good for health. also having one of the symbols at home would be a good idea. need to read the jewish calendar and alphabet more in depth still.

Its a SNP Test not a STR y/mtdna test but i have my haplogroup assignments as well. but i think my bit jewish is determined autosomal. the companies name is 23andme.

Rome wasn't built in a day. There is a reason it takes a prospective convert a LONG time to convert to Judaism. You ain't going to learn all there is to Judaism while standing on one foot. Take it a little bit each day. This is a journey, NOT a revelation. You can't just say "Allah is great" and lightning comes down from the sky. If that is what you want then Judaism is not for you.
