UNESCO long a bastion of UN antisemitism has asked the PLO to apply for membership. This is part of the PLO's strategy to erase Jewish history from Jerusalem. UNESCO would be more than happy to allow the PLO to declare everything in Jerusalem, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jericho etc as the 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc most holy site in all of Islam and they they never had a speck of Jewish or Christian presence, ever.

The issue is that US law forbids the US from supporting an organization that includes a non state group AS A STATE.
