Mixed feelings amongst Persian Jews are the order of the day in this NPR radio report, although no actual Jews in Iran are interviewed, only their relatives in Israel. Meanwhile Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has no mixed feelings whatsoever: in this widely-reported speech a few days ago he is unequivocal that the Jews should be annihilated. Iranian Jews travel to Israel via Turkey, with special documents from the Israeli Embassy there that let them enter the country undetected by Iranian authorities. Aaron says his cousin visited from Tehran just two months ago. Unfortunately, he says, he can't travel to Iran because he only has an Israeli passport. Aaron says he is proud of his Persian ancestry, yet he's also loyal to the Jewish state. But lately, he says, because of the tension with Iran, he feels conflicted about what could happen next.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is calling for the death of all Jews and the destruction of Israel. On the Web site, called Alef, Khamenei says the opportunity must not be lost to remove "this corrupting material. It is a "'jurisprudential justification' to kill all the Jews and annihilate Israel, and in that, the Islamic government of Iran must take the helm."

i know iran is a monstrous and evil regime who has the same aims as nazi germany had, but why?

we all know the crazy reasons the nazis and their supporters hated jews, but why does iran hate us so much? are they just jealous of israels sucess? or do they realise jews are the only good in this world and so in irans view to spread evil the jews must be killed so there is no more good in the world?

or does iran have some other crazy reason why it hates israel and jews?

it isnt "occupation' because no parts of iran are 'occupied' like they pretend israel still occupies gaza.

Hatred doesn't really need a reason.
That being said, I strongly believe it has to do with 12th Imam. Certainly someone more knowledgeable can weigh in.
