    Would you go back?

    http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Ne...0#.T0N6lHqvsu4
The “Disengagement” program ostensibly was aimed at removing any reason for Hamas to attack Israel, but the rocket strikes actually increased and struck deeper into central Israel until Cast Lead.

The military previously has said it is preparing for returning to Gaza, but Israel Defense suggested that next time around it might carry out a strategy of “divide and conquer” by dividing the region into several parts, effectively preventing Hamas from exercising control.
If Israels government decided that it was in the countries best interest to resettle Gaza I just wonder how many Israeli Jews would be willing to undertake the move.
As I understand, when Gaza was first settled it had governmental approval, as had Judeah and Samaria, and in 2005 we saw what that was worth.
I find it agravating that loyalty seems to be a one way street.

I prefer where I live. I guess if I was more of a beach person it would be more tempting though

    Re: Would you go back?

Perhaps I read it wrong or over time my memory fails to recollect clearly.
I'm sure that I heard that the people who were evicted from Gaza were promised a compensation that never happened.
Did I once read that houses were destroyed and yet still encumbered by a mortgage. The owners of the rubble were still to pay the outstanding debt while unemployed and homeless?
Did I read somewhere that there are still people who are not settled after almost 7 years?
Did I also read that some of the children evicted by their own countrymen still suffer trauma?
Is it just my perception that the expellees from Gaza are treated as second class citizens?
Is it really just the lack of a decent longboard that would stop you moving?
TBH I would need dragging there if I had a brain.
That was no admission BTW ;P

    1) You read correctly

    2) No, it's not just your perception

    3) I was joking (albeit half joking). Gaza just doesn't speak to me like Judea does. I can't explain it. Just like some Americans would never live on the East Coast, while others would never live on the West Coast. It's all a matter of taste.

No. Build the wall higher and thicker with no cross points at all. In the meantime tell Egypt it's free to manage their small border. Then open up the sea lanes to the international limit of 12 miles. Extend the 'wall' at the point where the sea from Gaza meets the sea from Israel and stop all watercraft trying to go in either direction. Patrol the open waters and don't stop anyone in international waters. Anything, anything that gets into Israel airspace from Gaza will be shot down.

That Israel has already been prevented by Hamas from shipping in fuel oil is a good thing. Continue on that path and announce a timeline whereby all border traffic will be permanently halted. All traffic, all goods, and trucks, all people. No humanitarian medical visits, nothing.

Mine the land border and mine the sea border. Post warning signs. Live long and prosper.
