Deja Vu? PA Continues to Stall

The Palestinian Authority is once again avoiding peace negotiations with Israel and plans to demand preconditions for negotiations, Army Radio reported on Friday.

According to the report, which cited the Al-Arabiya network, the PA is demanding that Israel recognize a Palestinian state along the indefensible pre-1967 borders with equal territorial swaps and cessation of construction of Jewish homes in Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem.
The report added that the PA is also demanding that Israel release all Arab prisoners, even those who were jailed before the 1993 Oslo Accords.

Abbas is not serious, he knows that Israel will not swallow this but it keeps him on the gravy train. He is nothing more than a perpetual failed negotiator who drifts from one conference room to another making his ridiculous demands. He attempts to cobble together some sort of unity deal with Hamas so that he can lunge at Israel with another crazy precondition knowing it can never be accepted. Then the PA and Hamas have another lovers tiff and the cycle starts all over again because without a legitimate reprisentative of all the arab Palestinians, Israel really has no one to negotiate with and he knows it.

If the Egyptians actually do something with the Camp David accord and decide in some way to no longer honor it then 'land for peace' is dead and gone forever. And Israel can safely tuck that one away never to speak of it again.
