    Rewriting the Arafat story

Al Jazeera's vain attempt to give Arafat a heroes death will fail. The truth will out. Emphasis on the word "out".

Fatah’s old guard, and especially Arafat’s family, has a great task: Arranging a dignified death for the father of the Palestinian nation.

The fact that Arafat left the stage while afflicted with a disease that one does not speak about openly, far away from his people, at a French hospital, is incommensurate with the national ethos...

There is no doubt that it’s much more dignified to arrange a heroic “martyr’s death” for the father of the nation, preferably at the hands of Mossad or Shin Bet. Indeed, every year we see yet another theory about an Israeli conspiracy against Arafat. This time we are being told about a lethal, radioactive toxin implanted by Mossad agents on the supreme leader’s famous fur hat and other items around him...

On the other hand, Ahmad Jibril, the head of the Popular Front and an Arafat rival, said that top PLO officials told him that Arafat died of AIDS. In Israel as well, intelligence officials estimated that he died of AIDS or of another infection that prompted his bodily systems to collapse...

    Re: Rewriting the Arafat story

now all the news wires are saying he was poisoned by the radio active element polonium, besides obviously blaming israel, who else who have wanted arafat dead? the russians? other arabs who truly wanted peace with israel and knew arafat would never make peace with israel? Iran? some crazy lone wolf mad scientist?

who do you guys think poisoned arafat with polonium?

i actually dont think it was israel, and not because im biased and pro israel, but if israel wanted arafat dead, wouldnt they have done it long ago?

And say mossad did do it, what did it achieve anyway? the situation is now worse , as hamas has gaza and fattah has the 'west bank', before at least there was only fattah in control, so if
it was israel that killed arafat, it obviously backfired, as the 'palestinian' question is now more complex than ever, meaning harder to achieve a long term peace treaty.

Let's not give credits to al jazora (can't even memorize the correct word for jazzora) by believing what they write. This article doesn't deserve attention

Sadat wasn't assassinated by Mossad. I doubt Arafat was either.

Arafat was in incompetent corrupt ineffective leader. There is no way Mossad would have wanted him dead. Likewise, Abbas is completely safe from Mossad.

    Fraud exposed:

The high levels of the radioactive poison polonium reportedly found on the belongings of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat indicate that the toxin was planted on them long after Arafat's death, a senior counter-terrorism analyst told The Jerusalem Post Thursday.

Dr. Ely Karmon, of the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center's Institute for Counter-Terrorism, is a specialist in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear terrorism.

Responding to an Al Jazeera report published Wednesday, which said that specialists at the Institut de Radiophysique in Lausanne, Switzerland, discovered abnormally high levels of polonium on Arafat's belongings, Karmon said that the half life of the substance would make it impossible for polonium to have been discovered at such high levels if it had been used to kill Arafat eight years ago.

According to the Al-Jazeera report, polonium has a half-life of 138 days, "meaning that half of the substance decays roughly every four-and-a-half months."

And yet, eight years after Arafat's death, the Swiss scientists reported finding polonium levels of 54mBq and 180mBq on his belonging, considered to be high levels.

"If it had been used to for poisoning, minimal levels should be seen now. Yet much higher levels were found. Someone planted the polonium much later," Karmon said...

    Re: Rewriting the Arafat story

They will do anything to smear Israel. But even if Israel would be guilty, so what? After all, it is a known fact that Arafat was guilty of the murder of countless number of innocent Israeli civilians, men, women, children, young and old.

    Re: Rewriting the Arafat story

Arafat probably died of AIDS. I think their primary goal is to give this incompetent corrupt failure a heroes death.

Right. 8 years after Araft's death from AIDS (He almost certainly was gay - not that it really matters), all of a sudden good old Suhah releases the... ta-dah... radioactive toothbrush!

You're right - This is an attempt to rewrite history with the hope that the whole Arafat gay/AIDS issue will be overlooked and forgotten.

The main part of Arafat's legacy will be carried proudly by Muslims worldwide, because Arafat embodied the true Palestinian national dream, which is to mass-murder Jews and steal the Jewish homeland from its rightful owners. He really worked very hard to make that dream come true.
