    Gaza Christians protest 'forcible conversions'

This sounds like what is happening in Egypt. I can't imagine what it will be like for Christians there under the new Islamist government.

Dozens of Gaza Christians staged a rare public protest Monday, claiming two congregants were forcibly converted to Islam and were being held against their will.

The small but noisy demonstration showed the increasingly desperate situation facing the tiny minority...

There are growing fears among Gaza Christians that their rapidly shrinking community could disappear through emigration and conversions.

Their numbers appear to have shrunk from some 3,500 to about 1,500 in recent years, according to community estimates. They are a tiny minority among 1.7 million Palestinians in Gaza, most conservative Muslims.

"If things remain like this, there'll be no Christians left in Gaza," said Huda Al-Amash, mother of one of the converts, Ramez, 25. She sat sobbing in a church hallway alongside her daughters, Ranin and Rinad, and a dozen other women. "Today it's Ramez. Then who, and who will be next?"...

The silence of the world is deafening. I wonder what the reaction would be if Israel would do such a thing. Not that there is any chance of it because it is against the very principles of Judaism. Yet Islam is the religion of peace? And Israel is "an apartheid state"? Sigh, we live in an upside down world ...

... and the Presbyterians just initiated a boycott against Israel, NOT Hamas or Gaza. Oh well ...

Whenever I engage Muslim apologists in debate about the conflict, I make a point of making them painfully aware of the historical facts concerning Islam. In particular,I emphasise that Muslim armies invaded, conquered and occupied half the civilised world.Non-Muslims were reduced to inferior status under dhimmitude. The canonical writings of Islam exhibit a pathological hatred of Jews. For this reason alone,I say God forbid that Jews should be prevailed upon to leave Israel. The extremist Leftist liberal maidstream media,by virtue of covering up Muslim atrocities worldwide.have got a case to answer. The wheels of justice grind slowly.

Yes, absolutely true, Reffo. The silence is deafening. No leftist "progressive" groups worried about this phenomenon, that's for sure.

The interesting thing is that not even the victims seem to really care. No widespread protests, no turning their backs on their Muslim oppressors.

That's true. Muslim domination has always resulted in countless victims. And, as Reffo said, no one cares these days.

Ironic, given Islam has based much of its ideology on Judaism. Half the Koran is comprised of references to the Jewish Patriarchs and prophets and stories found in the Hebrew Bible. For this reason, Islam has been called Arabian Judaism
