I think just as Spain needs to start negotiating with the Basque terrorists, Russia MUST begin to negotiate with the Chechen rebels.

After all, since both groups are using such extreme methods, they are truly victims who have a genuine cause right?

I think it would in Israel's best interest to join with China, Greenland, and the Isle of Man to form a kind of "Quartet", where they can draw up a compulsory peace plan for Russia and the Chechens.

Clearly the Russian occupation of Chechnya is so oppressive they must respond this way, since they are just schoolboys throwing rocks, helicopters shot down with grenade launchers and tanks destroyed with bombs nothwithstanding.

Most importantly, as soon as the dead are counted in Grozny, the World Media needs to stream over to the UN so as to ensure full and certain coverage of the progressive, well-thought out "resolution" condemning Russia for using such aggressive methods against the chechens, forcing them to use these tactics.

What israel needs to do is create a small enclave of jews, say about 200 living in "greenline" israel surrounded by large numbers of arab towns.

Then these 200 jews need to start screaming charges of "ethnic cleansing" because the local arabs wont sell their houses to them, and "occupation."

Whenever they kill some arabs, they can tell the World Media they are just a bunch of kids throwing rocks, who never hurt anybody - after all, being a Porkistani means "peace."

Clearly, Sharon needs to consider this item to be quickly added into the 2003 budget.
