Of course, as ridiculous as it is, they are serious. Like takeo the French leaders believe what Hamas says and goes as far as quoting their spokesmen as undeniable truths. But when it comes to statements by Israeli spokesmen you have to be cautious because Jews are known liars.
Yes, I know, it's [obscenity deleted] !

you can also add austria to the likes of france. the americans recently froze the assets of hamas and charity organizations linked to it and asked european countries to do the same thing in order to help the peace process. austria rejected the idea, saying it already "investigated" some of these organizations and found no link to terrorismOriginally posted by Communication

And YES Hamas and Islamic Jihad are terrorist organisation.
The text quotes likes this>
"....and believes Israel should deal with its "terror threats" through political, rather than military, channels. "
What POLITICAL talk are they talking about? The peace process?? As a Turk and Muslim I must say that I'm AGAINST any kind of peace-talk with the Palestinians. The last attack has clearly stated what the P.A. stands for... and that's terrorism!!
The Israeli people are doing what they have EVERY single right to do.. Protecting their border and people! The Turks are protecting themselvs from the Kudish Terrorists and the Israeli people are protecting themselvs from Palestinians!

More and more I'm starting to resent the French and British for how they carved up the ME. Both Turkey and the Kurds appear pro-Israel, and yet they have problems with each other. The Palestinians sided with Saddam Hussein over the Kurds, and yet one would think that on the face of it, the two peoples have more in common with one another than they do with any of the other ME peoples. WE are all being played like suckers here.
Dig_Sparx, I'm glad you're here to express your viewpoint! Welcome.
I was going through some of the documents that were released and are now part of the Truman Library. The British were bastards!
http://www.trumanlibrary.org/whistle...large/docs.php
I have link around here somewhere from the State Department during the Truman era that shows some State Dept memos outlining a plan to spread the rumor that Communism is a Jewish Zionist plot in order to casually dissuade Arab locals from going over to the communist side. I'll have to dig it up again some day.
Thanks... I just want people to know that not all muslims are anti-israeli. I'm proud to say that I'm pro-israeli!Originally posted by cerulean

I hate France. I've never visited Paris and I hope I never will. France is a country filled with ego-centric "people". I have NO respect for France and especially Jaques Chirac.
Maybe when Hamas or Islamic Jihad attack a place in France they will learn that they "supported" terrorist groups...

Welcome, Dig_Sparx! You have no argument with me regarding France. You may want to take a look at our PM, who is the Canuckistan facsimile of Chirac.Originally posted by Dig_Sparx

As mentioned, wait until France (or Canada) is picking up the pieces in a bistro, or three; perhaps then he will see the error of his ways. Though it is doubtful, as both Chirac and Chretien suffer from delusions of divine infallibility and a Vichy-condescension!

"Make peace, not war"
We have to MAKE war... to GET peace! I hate this childish behavior of politicians. That includes Chirac and Chretien. Why doesn't the world understand that what the Israelies are doing, is for peace!
They are more delusional than some psycho in mental hospital! They have closed thier eyes to the truth!
Should I say> Typical France and Canada?

Canada is stuck in the Old Europe mindset; one of blame the other guy, especially the US.Originally posted by Dig_Sparx

We suffer from low self-esteem, not unlike an overweight teen, who blames the fast food industry, for his/her obesity and zits. Contrasting most nations, we have never suffered a true revolution or civil war which although tragic can help a nation map its own identity. We have become a hyphenated-nation, a people who do not care to assimilate but retain old hates from our former homelands. Canada is a country built by generations of multi-ethnic backgrounds. Sadly the hyphenation of one’s citizenship does not necessitate one’s allegiance.
Whilst our history and traditions which are the nucleus of our identity, have been trashed by a government; headed by a man who doesn’t know, if he is Chirac, or the second coming of the Messiah.
We stood shoulder to shoulder with our allies throughout two World Wars, Korea and peacekeeping missions, for that, I am proud. Our men and women are serving in Afghanistan at the moment. They in most part are poorly equipped but do not lack in commitment or bravery.
Canada is a nation that has decimated its military, thus its ability to defend herself. Forever relying on the US to cover the slack, and then… we s***s on her!!
On the bright side as British chap mentioned… we seem to be starting to pull more of our weight on this war against terror. Time will tell.

It doesn't mather if Canada has joined 2 World Wars, Korea and peacekeeping mission. The essence of this discussion is that there are political leaders who can't see the truth.
They are pacifist!
It's like they expect an attack and THEN they'll do prevention in that area. We should destroy Hamas and Islamic Jihad before it escalates... I don't want to see another suicidebomber in Israel. I dont! That's why we have to make the "make love not war"-politicians to start a war on terrorist organisations in Palestine.

They are politicians never-the-less. Politicians make political decisions - that's what they are paid to do - and if these decisions have consequences or are not popular most politicians back out. If Chritien or Chirac saw any value of the situation they would be screaming for Israel as if there was no tomorrow. All that is happening in the Arab world and Israel/Palestine is all about politics and you as a citizen of the ME knows it better then anyone else.
I guess France has officially decided which side they are on.
I think its time for United States to make an example of France for the rest of the world.
They should be listed as a Terrorist sponsoring state and extended the same scrutiny as Iran.
