should care more for his own people and not foriegners. Many issues still need to be taken care of in the USA. Liberman would serve the Israels interest and not USA's.
I don't see him arguing to cut aid to Egypt.
I don't know what his motives are but politically it probably makes sense.
He will automatically get the muslim vote, the black vote, the anti-semitic vote ( of whites), and the vote of many of those who don't care about the ME and don't like the US sending billions there.
That's a lot of votes. And it maybe the only chance Dean has to unseat Bush.
And as you can see, Evgeny's vote.Originally posted by Evgeny

I am not going to vote. Its pointless Republicans and Democrats are the same . I would vote for the libertarians, they are the only ones with vision.
Don't kid yourself. If they were ever to get into power, faced with real world politics, they would do the same things.Originally posted by Evgeny

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king? I doubt it, the Libs just don't like government.
When we were discussing the Bush administration, I was critical, Lowell, but as said, The Democrats will be disastrous for Israel, and for the US. I may not be enthusiastic about Bush's policies re: Israel, but under the Democrats, conditions would degenerate a hundred fold! They would play into the hands of the Islamist Terrorists, as they would interpret this as weakness and a lack of resolve in the war on terrorism. This interpretation of the Democrats would be accurate: it scares the hell out of me!Originally posted by Lowell

We must do everything in our power to make sure Dean does NOT win. Tell everyone you know about Dean's alterior motives.
I, personally, do like Kerry as a presidential candidate - he has some good policies I side with and doesn't seem to jeopardize Israel's position in US policy. However, on domestic issues I'd rather see Dean as president than Bush.
Bush has shown that he hasn't been committed enough to Mid-East peace so I'd rather see him chucked out of office instead of kept in because the nation is in shambles and even if it might not be Bush's fault he isn't helping the situation one bit - and I'm getting sick of his hiding in the shadows.
The issue here is to make sure Dean - an enemy of Israel does not become the democratic hopeful. Any idiot who would make a moral equivalence between Israel and the Pals CAN NOT be our president.
Dean as president = more terrorism.
I believe he was talking about a "more even-handed" approach to the situation - but did not equate Israeli policies with Palestinian terrorism. However cutting aid for Israel is a concern.
Has anyone got anything to say about Lieberman? From what i watched on TV while i was in the States in July/August, he seems like a well-rounded guy. I only get CNN World back here, and there is no focus on the candidates as yet.
Do you lot think he is a credible chance of becoming President? If anything, i think he may be LESS inclined to favour Israel in a manner. Mainly because of the obvious reactions it would cause. But knowing that the Jewish vote is majority Democrat, i think that he will garner much support from them in a bid to run as Democratic Presidential Candidate.
Howard Dean is a soulless technocrat who like the radicals sees everything as everything and anyone's value system is as valid as anyone else's. His foreign policy statements could be boiled down to Star Trek's Prime Directive. When he says his treatment is the same as Clinton's people should sit up and take notice. Clinton invited Arafat to the WH more than any other world figure. He sent the 1st lady off to photo ops with Arafat's wife would scream incoherently about poison wells and blood libels. So if that's what Dr. Dean wants to claim as his standard then fine. We need to send his ass packing home.
