Report: Peres calls Jenin operation 'massacre'
While you're banging your head on the wall/desk/fish tank/monitor, have a gander at What Shimon Says. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I thought I remembered starting a thread like this a few year's back.
Here's today's addition:
Peres: Elimination of Yassin was an Error
13:28 Apr 25, '04 / 4 Iyar 5764
(IsraelNN.com) Opposition leader MK Shimon Peres told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) early this afternoon that Israel’s elimination of Hamas leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin was an error. He elaborated by explaining Israel’s conflict with the PA is one of “territory and nationalism,†adding we do not need to add “religion†to that list. Peres did approve of the elimination of Yassin’s successor, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, but viewed Yassin as a “religious leader†and therefore, was opposed to the decision to eliminate him.
In a related matter, the former Labor Party prime minister stated his opposition to targeting Yasser Arafat since he is the elected leader of the PA and Israel must live with this reality. He commented earlier that moving Arafat from his Ramallah headquarters to Gaza would be an intelligent and welcomed move.
What's up with Peres?
He should not be allowed anywhere near a microphone!
Perhaps I am wrong, as I am not near to this as you are, but it sounds to me that he is either insane or just trying to stand out politically but if so, Id consider his words almost treasonous.
I see and hear this same sort of mentality today, over and over and it is utterly beyond my scope of understanding how anyone can put their own country and people at risk with statements that are designed to inflame those already inflamed.
I don't know what to think but even I who is not Israeli or a Jew would gladly tell you I hope he drops dead really quickly of heart failure.
It sounds to me that you would be far better off without him.
I don't understand how anyone could possibly agree with him but I must assume that there still are many that do
Unless, of course, someone will enlighten me as to why I might be wrong and why.

Spreading super glue on his morning toast would suffice.
