Omar Bin Al-Khattab (a Muslim leader who was taught by the Prophet Muhammad himself) when he conquered Palestine, he didnt force his armies in and kick the Jews out, instead he agreed on the Jews' request that HE himself come from Mekkah and recieve the keys of the city. And when he came in the city, and he wanted to pray, the Jews asked him to pray in a Jewish church, did he refuse? No he didnt refuse, and you know why? When the Muslim soldiers asked him why he prayed in a Jewish church, he told them: Because I was afraid that if I said no, the Muslim generations may think that it is not a Holy Place and destroy it, and I dont want to meet my lord with such a sin.
Now you see some extremist as Bin Laden and suicide bombers, and you judge the race they belong to just as a consequence of their own actions. You think Islam wants Muslims to kill innocent people, when the Prophet himself told the muslim warriors that they SHOULD NEVER kill a woman, an old man, a child or even a tree in war? Dont judge, without the correct knowledge, go study the religion and the history of it, then you may see the bright side of Islam.

The meaning of the word "Islam" in arabic is PEACEFUL. True Islam doesnt support terrorism or any act of it, and believe it or not, MOST of the Muslims follow that rule, or else the Muslims would have rammed down the borders and rushed in to reclaim their holy land.Maybe it's a listening skills thing. I've never said that 's the case. But whatever you or this one or that one believes is largely irrelevant. People do what they are motivated to do and what they are motivated to do, in so far as it effects me, is violent. Not everyone - certainly, but as someone said - 5% of a billion is a lot of people, isn't it? I mean we have entire criminal justice systems and police forces and prisons to manage no more than the 5% of the population who commit crimes. So if 5% of your brethren go off on whatever holy mission they've dedicated their sad violent little lives to then that is a Huge-Assed problem to me.
I'm pretty sure that no sane person wakes up and discovers that their God told them to go out and kill people for His Greater Glory. But I am convinced that you can right now find sufficiently large numbers of killers who are just waiting to be lead by whatever rationale you want to feed them. Pick Islam, pick boredom, pick murderous impulses, pick the moon, pick the voices in their heads. Makes no which never mind either way.
These were wars. I am precisely talking about terrorist attacks. People do try to cross the boarders to possibly attack Israeli targets, but thats 0.00001 % of the whole Muslim nation? Where did you get this number from??? I said that some Muslims would like to attack Israel because they think that it is killing the innocent Palestinians living there.. That doesnt mean all Muslims want to do so. All I meant in my posts in here is that anyone who posts should be careful not to judge the religion or a certain race BASED on the actions of some people in that particular race.5% of a billion is a lot of people, isn't it
Dunno - probably it makes sense to understand that if you live next to a loudspeaker that shouts "kill the Jews" day after day you will eventually come to embrace that. When surveyed, the populace advocates, in the abstract "continued violence in order to achieve their goals."
Ok I accept that's as valid a public response as any other man-in-the-street poll. Does that translate into 'direct action' (as the people in the west who booster terrorism call it..?) No not in all cases. No more so than me walking past starving bleeding beggars every day until they become part of the scenery. If you indifferent me to death then I will return the favor.
