Are Brits going to be "Wussy" next?

London Mayor Ken Livingstone, at the same press conference, said it would be "miraculous" if the capital was not attacked.

Fresh fears for the capital's safety emerged as an opinion poll indicated that 75 percent of Britons feel vulnerable to attack because of Prime Minister Tony Blair's stance on Iraq.

Morocco is considered a secular Islamic nation yet it was able to produce Islamic terrorists and that indicates quite clearly that Muslims can’t be trusted as a whole.

But what happens when AQ <tm> begins to use secular Germans, French, Swiss, etc?

The cuban missile crisis, the gulf war, Afghanistan, the hunt for BL right now ..

And we'll be there again when America really needs it. And the US will also be there when France really really needs it, and Europe as well. The invasion of Iraq was just a stupid move from a stupid administration.

The question was help, not rhetoric. Cuban missile crisis?

Good one, what did France do? Oh yeah, plan to withdraw from NATO.

Al Qaeda Opens First Embassy in Madrid
(2004-03-16) -- Spain's newly-elected socialist prime minister today declared the start of a "new era of protection from terror" as he cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the al Qaeda embassy in downtown Madrid.

The building, formerly known as the U.S. Embassy, will house the offices and "manufacturing facilities" of the global religious social services organization headed by renowned philosopher Usama bin Laden.

"Spain's involvement in the war on terror caused the recent train station bombings," said Prime Minister-elect José Luis RodrÃÂguez Zapatero. "Now that the Spanish people have elected a socialist government, and embraced al Qaeda's diplomats, we have nothing to fear. Al Qaeda has promised to protect us from extremists like those at the U.S. White House and Pentagon."

Mr. Zapatero said he was "pleasantly surprised at al Qaeda's reasonable pricing for high-quality protection."

I think a proportion of that 75% support the Iraq war though. I'm not anti-war, buit I still feel extra-vulnerable because of it. Not because I think AQ only want to harm those countrie who supported it, but because it would be tactically stupid at this stage for them to attack anyone else.

I definitely feel the US main allies are most at risk at this stage, at least if AQ have any tactical savoir faire at all.

Maybe once the Muslims that arent involved finally begin to "see the light", they will get angry enough and will become a force to be reckoned with against such groups, and if they were wise they would begin to act ASAP for far too many innocents within their own communitys, or countrys that have been victims in such attacks are now paying a price and can no longer afford to be naive and stay silent......or apologize!

    Maybe this or maybe that!

While they are making up their minds tens of thousands of infidels might die, not only that potential supporters of Islamic terrorism is growing by the second.

I’m certain that the 1,000’s that died at the hands of Islamic terrorism had friends and/or family as well.

Many if not all of the survivors suffer from survivor’s guilt, depression and other psychological disorders; their lives will never be normal again.

I think you’re conveniently forgetting that death is finite!

There’s will be no permanent harm if Muslims are returned to their place of origin.

What was wrong with going to work at the WTC or talking the elevator to the top for sightseeing?

How about boarding a plane without wondering whether some religious psycho is going to blow it up?

People have a right to walk into a restaurant or bar to celebrate or unwind!

How about getting on a bus in Israel or elsewhere and ending up as hamburger?

People have a right to sit in their apartments without some Islamic terrorists turning on the gas valves and blowing up their apartment!

I don’t think the war has even begun yet!

No buts! Time to get tough!

This isn’t a game people are dying or ending up with serious injuries and I don’t think that Muslims have a good track record. As far as I’m concerned every Islamic country is screwed up and religion is a major factor.

Take the bull by the horns and kick them all the he!! out!

How many more have to die before the west comes to its senses or wakes up and faces the fact that Islam spells trouble.

I believe you will get your wish when the first nuke goes off in this country. Short of that, the first time an Arab Muslim peppers a shopping mall with machine gun fire we might end up with internment camps.

Really brilliant idea. I'm sure that will give our economy a shot in the arm.

    Keep your priorities in order.

I agree that the only real solution will be deportation or internment for all muslims, but that will never happen. Even if a mall gets blown up it won't be enough. (Why should millions of muslims suffer because of one deranged outcast?)

It would be completely moral to deport them. Some are completely innocent (even those for some reason have trouble criticzing the terror), but either way innocent people will suffer.

Sadly, if we were to prohibit travel from Muslim countries to the West it would probably not have a material impact on our economies.

Now, what was the cost of the World Trade Center and Madrid massacres? Can you even begin to put a price on these atrocities?

And if this idea were to come to fruition, what do you recommend they do with american born Muslims?

And does one keep Arab Christians here?
Does one deport South Eastern Asians?
Does one deport African Americans who are Muslim, even if large numbers I assume are born in the USA?

I dont see how that idea could be executed logically to be honest.

Well, it's not a pleasant business, but that's exactly what politicians, automanufacturers and a host of others do that everyday. Every problem you focus upon has an opportunity cost. Now even if you think that Bush has handled this war on terrorism flawlessly, it has cost us $300+ billion dollars and around 600 American lives. He placed security above the economy, the environment and education or domestic crime. He could have done more than he did, but the Constitution and Congress are standing in his way.

Personally, the price I put on a solution is my own life and the lives of my family, same as I do when I get in my car. I did it within the last two years when I rode the trains of Madrid and walked the streets of Casablanca. I'm willing to risk that the efforts of the FBI and Interpol and airport security and the border guards and CIA intelligence gathering with the assistance of 20/20 hindsight is going to guide us through this tough time without having to turn our system upside down, without having to resort to checkpoints every hundred yards or random searches on the street. We have silently avoided dozens of attacks through the efforts of these men and women, and I think it's high time to tip our hats to them. No security is perfect. That's why, given almost unlimited budgets and the best people, heads of state are still assassinated. But it is my opinion that invading other nations does nothing to increase our security and much more to destablize the geopolitical climate.
