13 Jewish Homes in Toronto Attacked

Cant seem yet to find a news story on this although I did see a kid from Thornhill Ontario allude to it last night on LGF but apparently 13 familys woke up to discover their homes spraypainted in Swastiksa's and other anti semetic sayings..........as well as their cars yesterday!

For those familiar with Toronto, it happened, in Vaughn at Dufferin and Highway 7 which is a suburb of Toronto and home to many Orthdox Jews.

This is all I know so far.............Oh Im just hearing that the Canadian Jewish Congress will be holding a confrence this morning at 10 am

Thorhill Jews defiant over swastika graffiti

    By JASON TCHIR, TORONTO SUN

Thornhill's Jewish community is "angry but not afraid" after vandals defaced more than a dozen cars and front doors with anti-Semitic graffiti and swastikas. "The swastika ... is probably the most racist and most hate-filled symbol known to man," said Len Rudner, from the Canadian Jewish Congress, who lives near Beverley Glenn Dr., where the graffiti was found yesterday morning.

"If their intent was to make us fearful, it won't work."

The vandals spray-painted the swastikas and messages -- including "Juwz suk" -- on 11 cars and two homes on the street between Dufferin and Bathurst Sts., York Regional Police said.

Police say the incidents are hate crimes. York's police chief is to hold a press conference today to ask for witnesses.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. yesterday should call York police at 905-881-1221, ext. 7441, or Crime Stoppers.

    Oh no

I commend their bravery in not being afraid, but I suspect this is not the last such attacks we will hear of .

First Nazi wanna-be that defaces my property is getting shot in the face and dragged into the house for gun-law reasons, then I call the cops.

On a side-note, what are the gun law reasons? We in Blighty are fascinated by US Gun laws!

Don't know exactly, I'm still saving money to buy my brother-in-law's Glock! But I've always heard the joke, "that if you shoot someone on your property, make sure its in the house, (or drag them in) to make it look like breaking and entering."

Our new Conceiled Weapons Law in Michigan has definately made hoods think twice about attacking someone, not knowing if they are packing heat. I know most people in my neighborhood are, most are hunters or rednecks.

The Canadian hoodlums must have just seen the Passion!!!!

PS: Glocks are ok. Reliable and indestructable. Choose a 40 SW over a 9mm unless it is for your wife. Then 9mm is better. Drop mags are better than non-drop mags. Nite sites are a must. The bigger the bullet (40SW, 45 ACP) the slower they travel and the more hearing you will have left after you shoot a nazi indoors. Less flash also. Pay for good Law Enforcement (low flash) ammo to keep in your Glock. NO LEAD BULLETS. Metal Jacket only (hollowpoints are fine). Buy cheap ammo and put 500 rounds through it (or much more) to learn to be able to hit center of mass. Pistols are not easy to learn to use. Don't limp wrist (sorry Avana) a Glock. It will have problems ejecting. There is no external (manual) safety on a Glock; so you load it and it is ready to go. There are others with external visable manual safeties if you want to go that route. Glocks, in my opinion, are not for beginers or casual users.

If you have kids in the house, keep the empty pistol separate from the loaded magazine. You will know where both are and can get them fast. Keep a flashlight near by and practice shooting with the flashlight (at the range). You don't want to shoot your neighbor (well, that is an assumption).

Peacelover; if you want to know start a separate thread. I just happen to be an expert on the subject. By the way. The UK used to have very similar laws...now unfortunately, only the bad guys own guns and your violent crime rate (per capita) is higher than the US.

Portland Police Bureau recalls .45 caliber Glock weapons after incidents

    By The Associated Press
PORTLAND - Portland Police Chief Derrick Foxworth has ordered a recall of .45-caliber Glock Model 21 firearms, weapons carried by 230 Portland officers.

His order comes after two of the guns exploded in the hands of two separate officers during training this month. Neither of the officers was seriously injured.
"We don't want a reoccurrence of this happening again," Foxworth said. "It's the prudent thing to do."

The Portland Police Bureau at first thought the problem was caused by an ammunition malfunction. After the second explosion, the bureau's training division did further analysis and determined the explosions may have been caused by a defect in the weapon or a design problem.

Police will switch to 9 mm handguns. They are negotiating with officials at Georgia-based Glock to replace the .45-caliber weapons with 9 mm handguns at no cost.

Because the .45-caliber Glock is popular among law enforcement, the Portland police training officers sent a teletype to agencies nationwide. They heard back from several, including agencies in Florida and Texas, that had similar problems.

Other agencies, including the Los Angeles Police Department, and Multnomah and Clackamas counties sheriff's departments, reported no problems.

Anyways you’d never get away with blowing someone away and dragging the body into the house blood splatter experts could tell in a minute that the person hadn’t been wasted there.

Police almost always use lead bullets for practice. I bet you that was the problem. LEAD does not mix with Glocks.

You're right, I would first lure them in for some milk and cookies and a reading from Mein Kampf or Protocols, then I'd shoot them in my foyer!

Do not fock with Mister Glock.

I read a bio of Mr. Glock. He is one truly scarey-ass hardcore MoFo.

*And ironically one of the ORIGINAL problems with Glocks was that they exploded.*

(I used to own an old Porche and first gear was garbage, mushy and hard to use. The philosophy of the German engineers I took it to was "Vat ze Hell, du only needz it vunce!").

    Not in my hand!

I don’t know if the average individual realized that a flame of hot gasses (3,000ºF +) about 5’ long leave the barrel each time you fire a large caliber handgun, not only that there’s quite a kick.

    Ouch!
