    Ignorance reigns supreme

Nearly none here know the true history
    And most prefer being ignorant

Fact: There were very few arabs on the land in the late 19th century.

Fact: The arabs negotiated the creation of Israel and signed a treaty to that effect in 1919.

Fact: The absentee Turkish landlords sold the land to the arriving Jews...legally, and at inflated prices.

Fact: Though there were few arabs as late as 1913, the arab population quintupled between 1920 and 1937...they came from elsewhere as they saw economic opportunities...and electricity...in the Jewish state they agreed to.

Fact: Nearly none of today's so called palesitnians can trace their roots in that land any further than most Israelis.
Fact: Once the jews had created something of value in the state...the arabs decided to renege on the deal they had made...and steal all the land, towns, cities and industries the jews had built.

This is all historical fact. You can find this in many hisrtorical texts...even on the UN site.

No one stole the arabs' land

The arabs are like someone who sells their car to somone...then regrets it and wants it back once it's been fixed.

But know some are frothing at the moouth thinking I am lying...I leave you with this...a start on your education.

Agreement Between Emir Feisal and Dr. Weizmann
    3 January, 1919

His Royal Highness the Emir Feisal, representing and acting on behalf of the Arab Kingdom of Hedjaz, and Dr. Chaim Weizmann, representing and acting on behalf of the Zionist Organization, mindful of the racial kinship and ancient bonds existing between the Arabs and the Jewish people, and realizing that the surest means of working out the consummation of their natural aspirations is through the closest possible collaboration in the development of the Arab State and Palestine, and being desirous further of confirming the good understanding which exists between them, have agreed upon the following: ...

    Articles:

    Article I
The Arab State and Palestine in all their relations and undertakings shall be controlled by the most cordial goodwill and understanding, and to this end Arab and Jewish duly accredited agents shall be established and maintained in the respective territories.

    ...
    Article IV
All necessary measures shall be taken to encourage and stimulate immigration of Jews into Palestine on a large scale, and as quickly as possible to settle Jewish immigrants upon the land through closer settlement and intensive cultivation of the soil. In taking such measures the Arab peasant and tenant farmers shall be protected in their rights and shall be assisted in forwarding their economic development.

And an aticle that sums some of this history

The fact is that the international community, including the emerging Arab nations, recognized Israel at the 1919 Paris Peace Conference which was held by the victorious Allies in order to settle international questions after the 1918 Armistice ended World War I. An official Arab and Zionist delegation, as well

Some good points, and with some good links that are new to the board.
We've had similar discussions here many times.

Your topicS a bit [too] wide politically and historically to handle in one string.

Very good on the 'history of the Land' issue (The bulk of the land was owned by Absentee landowners.. but they were Arab not Turkish)

    LAND ACQUISITION IN PALESTINE
(a very Brief excerpt from this well researched essay.. abu)

"...What was the state of the land - its ownership and cultivation - at the end of the period of Turkish rule? Most of the territory was concentrated in the hands of a few wealthy landlords, most of whom lived far from their property. In many cases these lands were, or seemed, unfit for agriculture, and were therefore neither settled nor cultivated. Occasional plots were worked by tenant farmers.
According to a Turkish register drawn up shortly before World War 1, there were at that time 3,130,000 dunams in the hands of 144 landlords that is, approximately 22,000 dunams average per family. In the Nablus and Tul-Karem districts, five families held a total of 157,000 dunams, of which the Husseini family owned 50,000 dunams in various parts of the country, and the Abdel-Hadi family 60,000. The largest single holding, 230,000 dunams in the Jezreel valley, was in the hands of the Sursuk family, which resided in Beirut and Cairo."
