    America's image is going down

two threads of mine have been edited of late, apparently by a moderator

the titles that have been altered are
"the real cause of the death of Arafat"

    as been changed to
"Politicizing the Yasser Arafat's cause of death; or, what we don't know can hurt you.
    http://www.israelforum.com/board/sho...1&postcount=70
I do not see what the added insinuation means... or what value added it brings

Bombing of French soldiers : Israelis involved

    to

Bombing of French soldiers : Israelis involved, Satan unavailable for comment
    http://www.israelforum.com/board/sho...&postcount=126
I had not into of putting any satanic reference in the discussion

Overall, the objective of this person is harassment.
Arbitrary harassment because he does not share my opinions. Why leave intact threads which are either pure provocation of plain false and modify titles respecting forum rule? Why choose to distord the name of the threads I started?

let's see one example on naming a thread :

France: we will use the UN-mandate to continue the occupation of the Ivory Coast => this is plain lie, no french declaration was made about "occupating ivory coast".

and guess what, the guy who created the thread has been promoted moderator ! Now he can toy with what I say in total impunity...

Now If you want to see delirant threads titles just browse the forum..

Now what should I do ?
    - I have first protested to the forum owner (newsguy), who answered that moderators are fully allowed change thread titles. This practice is discretionary and completely arbitrary. Any moderator can change a thread name to what he wants. Just because he feels like it.

Ok, now what do I do ? I can either
    =========================
solution #1 - accept that the thread I start have a title perverting what the idea I defend.

solution #2 - stop posting and conceide victory to the harasser. This will also overjoy all here that do not share my opinions.

Now although it is certainly not good to give in to harassment, I have choose solution #2. As I wrote to the forum owner "you might as well have the guts to ask me to leave politely and I certainly would not insist".
But the idea that someone can pull strings and make me say what I do not want to say, just because he finds it fun is completely disgusting to me.

I do not know for you, maybe some of you find it fantastic to read a forum like this, but for me this is more than just hindering freedom of expression, this is plain pervert.

    So bye all !

Overall I hope I have contributed adding value to the forum and interest to the reader.
I tried to start threads worthy of real debate and to documents my posts as well as I could! I tried not to answer provocation by avoiding the most aggressive of hateful posters.

On the statistic side, I started no less than 113 threads and wrote 1250 posts, which means I easily dedicated two hundred hours to the forum.

these are some of the threads I am the most proud of , Bush is elected, what can we expect in the next years?
    • Good news for the Saudis and the iranians: Crude prices hit 21 year high
    • Fight against Global warming : Kyoto Protocol becomes international treaty.
    • teaching democracy (it's a picture !)
    • If America were Iraq, What Would It be Like?
    • Another legend down the drain : Iraq's Disappearing Elections (this one is likely to make a comeback)
    • a no-win war against 1.3 billion Muslims
    • Israel Has Long Spied on U.S alleges Counterpunch (I think this thread title has been manipulated as well)
    • Moore's anti-Bush film wins top Cannes award
    • Arab-Israeli Retaliation Tragic, Unhelpful
    • Europe must not define itself against America
    • about the dangers of blurring the lines between humanitarians workers and armies
    • French troops deployed on Sudan border
    • Military Draft in the US?
    • Reaction in France on Sharon calling french jews to "leave immediately
    • Torture by US forces is Iraq is not just isolated incidents (that thread is probably the one with the longuest debate : 481 posts)
    • How can the damage of the torture photos be repaired? (with now a variant with the shooting of an unarmed wounded insurged in a mosque)
    • Are we de-Baathifying or re-Baathifying this week? (that one was not a success, by it was fun)
    • Rebirth at Ground Zero (don’t start optimistics threads here : no success)
    • Real politics starting inside iraq? (ditto)
    • U.S. Drops Effort to Gain Immunity for Its Troops
    • 9/11 panel says there was ‘‘no credible evidence’’ that Saddam had ties with al-Qaida
    • Big demonstration in Paris today against anti-Semitism
    • europe grows : Israelis rush on europeans passport
    • hostilities ending in Falluja? (lucky I put an interrogation mark on that one.. that was started in june)
    • France to expel Muslim cleric over abuse

And it makes me extremely sad to realize all these titles can be perverted anytime…

…. So I have decided, that I prefer to remove some of my posts than to have what I mean manipulated against my will, it’s a bit sad, but it seems reasonable to withdraw from a debate when the debate turns out to be a fake. And of course I do not approve of the hatred shown by the people who manipulate this forum to their ends.

This is news? I got spat on as a child, in Paris, in the 60's. They have always detested America and they always will and they work to convince whomever will listen to hate us as well.

As the US dominates so much of the world's stage; economically, militarily, culturally, media-wise, countries like rance who've for the last 50 years imagined they had more influence than they do, outside of their own parochial interests and client states, look for new ways to leverage what power they have. It's no mystery that a UN SC seat has been the centerpiece of their foreign policy for decades and by extention, the notion that a country could exploit 'international law' as a tool of aggression [war by other means].

So then 'trashing' the US seems a natural enough course of action for France to take. It's similar to the methods that organizations like Hamas, the PA and the mullahs of Teheran and other terrorist states use when they have little power to effect change directly. It's the same tools used against Israel when a terrorist entity has limited capacity to attack head on and when the murder of innocent civilians passes the tipping point when right minded people begin to move away from supporting them.

There are close parallels between the foreign policies of France and the foreign policies of the PA and Hezbollah. It's a game played by lying and distorting the media, by insisting on silly absurdist narrow inconsequential interpretations of 'law' while at the same moment never pretending to be bound by that law.

I was sure you are quite old. You know you are very stubborn and inflexible (though do show wisdom at times).

Will you tell us more about how you got spat on?

Americans already know this. It doesn't change anything. France is only flailing around, grasping at straws as it declines into history. We all know French won't be spoken in 100 years.

Lets just remember this thread was started (provoked) by the same guy who put CanaJew on his ignore list because he simply can't debate him without crying foul.

This same thread that says, "America's image is going down", while mentioning how France's image is already in the gutter is considered hate speech to him.

    Baloney! And who cares?

The US and France have had a love-hate relationship for centuries. Starting in the later half of this last century, the French have aggressively promoted anti-Americanism throughout their perceived spheres of influence. Every francophone summit ends up being NOTHING more than a platform to spout anti-American rhetoric to France's former colonies, all of which eat it up like crack babies because Chirac and their big oil company executives grease the pockets of those despots wth blood money.

You are wrong. You wasn't spat us for being an American, but for different reason about yourself. It has to do with a infamous french feature they like to deny about themselves and hold "demonstrations" and "conventions" to prove they are other wise.

They have always detested America and they always will and they work to convince whomever will listen to hate us as well.
French are known not only for detesting Americans but mostly other group of humans. I am a member of too. But of course, the french will deny it. They hate certain people for "good" reasons. [quote][b]

Who said that the french way is the right way? Look at the sorry state of france today, it ecconomy and it inner social stracture. Pathetic. All the french left to do it catpult cows over the wal at our heads.

French politics is very much pro-Islamist due to frence own connection with Arab rouge states. Fromerly Iraq, still Iran and Syria.

It is a fact that Ayatulla hummainy was hosted and protected in France and so many other "darlings" of the western world. Paris as a human seweage which draws all the tyrents and terrorists of the world. "Great place" to live in, especialy if you're life-loveing Jew. Now, to the French offer the USA to be more like them? Maybe bush should offer Bin-Laden a suit in the white house as well?

Last, Bush is sure not America, but France is sure not whole of Europe.

As for me I'd say the whole world increasingly has, not "love-hate relationship", but a mix of envy, admiration and even pride sometimes for the US.

From a third world point of view, one of the spectacular things I lived through was to get back to a big city in africa after weeks in the wild. And there I watched "Starsky and Hutch" and these kind of hollywood serials while staying in a slum.

This really gives you a special feeling about the US. Hard to explain ("Faraway, So Close" but i'm not sure i'm using the right words).
You got billions living that daily in very poor countries. So of course you get mixed feelings. But you definetly cannot be indifferrent.

As far as I can read, your moto is to balme both Israel and the USA of being haters. So what do you think, am I a minority of a majority?

Bottom line, you are meaningless. nothing more then a pass time minor irritation to play with. You have no influance over your life and your "culture" is dieing, along with your language and economy. Won't have to tolerate you for long.

Now there is a good point. If there is a max, then forum members should push a little harder on that fronch pinhead so he uses up his quota and then we'll see some whining.

Nonesense. He'll just sweach to a new thread.

His presence is only our fault for not ignoring HIM.

We'll have to open a French forum, for all the Euro-trash self- important pomposed frenchies, where they can talk themselves silly.

Unless he'll respond for some of my post, I'll ignore him all togather.

Pretty much, the United States has long been perceived by French intellectuals as the greatest extension of Anglo-Saxon civilization (although arguably not true). Certainly it was much more subtle before this last century. It seems that the French are still sore about the fact that english is the default language throughout the world.
