The first Israeli I ever met was an exchange teacher, while half way through school. She was very intense and sure of herself, very proud of Israel. This was around '67, when Israel enjoyed general admiration and respect in New Zealand, in which I shared. Since that time Israel seems to have shifted from defence to aggression, with various adventures and misadventures.

We have similar claims in the US where for example a native tribe of dubious provenance claims it is due the western half of the state of Connecticut including every house and business and piece of immovable property there. let me say this about the that article. Christian Europe is waning, the Moslems in these once Christian Countries are gaining in influence and power....they, those once god fearing Europeans, are wounded dogs licking themselves...waiting to be put down.

Oh, and OJ had a good point about the fact that you can't rely on papers and what happened in the past, but must prepare for contingencies in the future. Of course, Europe hasn't had to worry about that for a long time since the US subsidized its security. But it will have to worry about it.
